Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Awful waste of a day off it’s a pity it couldn’t have held off for another day.

Wild, wild morning here on the west cork coast. Very heavy rain since around 4am. Winds picked up massively and the trees are bending at times with all the leaves on them. Mad! Love a good storm though :)

Total contrast to yesterday, where we spent the whole day sitting and eating outside.
    Wet and wild.

New trampoline built yesterday located to a safe spot in the garden and weighed down with plenty of big stones etc. Thankfully is still where we left it last night!

Wet but no wind or heavy rain to speak of near Tipperary town. Has the worst of the weather passed through by now?

Wet and windy since about 7am here outside Newport. Sun is shining now and wind died down but the ground is saturated so no outside for the kids.

Squall line seems to be now running from Kerry, up through Limerick, North Tipp and up through the Midlands as it moves east. Just passing through my part of North Tipp now.

Estimate that all rain should have cleared here by 1.00 pm.

Sun coming out in Galway. Still breezy. I think we might have a nice evening.

Just a wet breezy morning here, got a bit squally for a short while as the front passed through.
No idea what rain fell as i just noticed the the gauge was blocked by birds using it as a toilet, didn't cop until now as no rain fell at all last week.
11c out now with only a light breeze, south cavan.

Nothing of any note in Donegal, some rain overnight but just breezy with some sun and a few showers so far today. Not much different to any other day we've had this past week really

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,021 ✭✭✭Artane2002

There was some very intense rain in Dublin 5 a few minutes ago, made a waterfall run down the window

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 551 ✭✭✭Squeaksoutloud

Drove through that squall line on the M7 southbound near New bridge. Never saw anything like it..lucky there wasn't much traffic as everyone pretty much had to stop or crawl along at 10kph. Fog lights and hazards on..only lasted 40 seconds then through again.

Strong winds for the afternoon / evening, quite windy in the E later this evening as the isobars tighten before moving offshore across the Irish sea.

Strong head wind for flights or shipping for a time coming from the E.

Just 4.8mm here near Tralee, blustery but nothing too strong as yet, wind veering more W now and increasing.

Minaun is beautiful, always stunning view no matter the weather. Well except the time I drove up into cloud.

Plenty of surf down on keel in that pic :)
