Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Out again today, other side of the bay though down to the lighthouse, ferry was €3 return, good value and we timed it pretty well, no waiting

I was going to post the following picture in this thread, but thought I might be asked to leave that thread if I did so here she is.

Could do with a bit less railings and a bit more bike in the photo, but she looks like a comfy tourer. If this is your bike, and looking at your log and the mileage you're putting in, if the funds become available, you should consider a road bike.
I think that's a flower pot stand maybe kerry4sam could take another photo next spring to confirm? Agree about the railings 0 -

I took a few photos while doing one of my favourite climbs over here in Taipei at the weekend.
Still in the lowlands. A lot of farmland at this stage:
Every so often you come across these nice wee bridges, usually connecting a house to the road.
A lot of crappily-constructed shacks by the side of the road too, unfortunately:
And you occasionally come across a monastery too. This one's a Carmelite Monastery (if you zoom in you can see it written over the arch).
A lot of the views look like this though:

Not quite sure what this is, but it's very pretty. A lot of cars park here cos people come up and hike from here.
One of the many temples you'll see on any trip out:
There's a cable car up to the top of the mountain. Here's a photo from near the top, showing it, as well as the city centre in the background. You can see Taipei 101 down there, the tallest building in the world until a couple of years ago.
And here's me at the top. I swear I was trying to smile, but the sun was really making me squint.

Hard to follow some of the shots and locations in this thread;) Great stuff folks.
Nice morning today so I decided to take a different route to one of my more normal spins, I left the flatlands of the Curragh,

From Dunlavin I headed to Hollywood and up the hill towards the Wicklow Gap,

I didn't go all the way up though, turning instead for Valleymount and back towards the Lakes

Nice colours to be seen on the road back to Blessington, even if this shot does them no justice.

Yesterday was a lovely day for a cycle. I'd planned on Bull Island, Howth and back, but ended up with a puncture in Fairview, so only got as far as Bull Island.
My grubby looking wheels, which ended up being grubbier after a spin on the beach.0 -

Top of Plymouth Rd where it meets Carrington. Right is my favourite stretch of road, left is 16km screaming downhill back to town.
Today I went left as I was a bit tired, clocked up 300km this week.
