I got Tracy Chapmas's debut album and I think most of the songs on it are quality including Fast Car. But, as it happens, I voted for Chuck Berry as he had a better song here!
Edit: you only encouraged Irish Aris to push her through!

you're both wrong, one of the best albums of all time and a class song.

My hatred of that song is on a similar level to LeVar's of Gnarls Barkley. It genuinely astonishes me how many people like that song.

Its definitely not the same. I doubt Chuck Berry ever threatened to kill you outside a bar in LA. ;)

Chuck Berry punched The Rolling Stones' Keith Richards for picking up his guitar! (Fun Fact!)

At last, someone who thinks the same way as me about those two songs!

Two of my nominations are left.

Thought it was the other you had issue with.

Tracy Chapman would never threaten to kill anyone, she's a legend and would be a worthy winner of the tournament.

I heard she was friends with Cee Lo Green.

True story. That I made up just now. :P

Cee Lo Green has no friends because he's such a f**khead.

Truer story... Also made up, but not unlikely, because he's that unlikeable.

That is all my noms cleared out now :(
There are some great tunes left though :)

I'm not sure there are any songs left that I'd say I hate - a few I'm not too keen on and/or think are overrated but nothing absolutely godawful (I don't think anyway)

With regards Tracy Chapman, "Give Me One Reason" is a great tune. Prefer that one to "Fast Car" on balance.

God no, Johnny B. Goode was one of my noms, and Chuck Berry is a legitimate legend. True he'd possibly pull a knife on you or do something equally unpredictable, but that just makes him more colourful. :D

I had 9 left going into this round, lost two, which is surprisingly good. None of mine will win this, but I'm happy that a good few are hanging around a bit longer than I expected.

I think I have 7 left too - surprisingly the one I lost (Purple Rain) was one of the few that I thought would go far - though admittedly he lost to an amazing song.
I don't expect any of my nominations to win either, although I think I could see one of them in the semis :)
