I don't understand why people seem to dislike them so much. Apart from driving the things, I'm not 'into' buses, so my technical knowledge is limited, but I find them perfectly pleasant to drive - especially the newer ones.

Have you sat as a passenger?

    Bone shakers..

There is no feedback from steering and at times you don't know where it's going...

A few good points is can heater and been able to or I'm mean should be able to move air flow to feet instead of face.

Sun visors won't stay down, rattles and bangs from everywhere, ticket machine gap in screen means anyone can grab the steering wheel which I've had done, seats in terrible state and painful to sit on, no power, dangerous at junctions etc, black spots a given, can't see back door or down aisle at all if standing passengers, coolant level issues all the time, revs for ever and go nowhere....

If brighter bulbs are t fitted for dipped beam you might as well turn them off...

Wipers don't clear enough of the driver side and as they do their sweep the water runs down in front of driver's eyes....

Rear indicators are poor and not LED like any other db has had since 2002.

Probably leaving another few issues out...

Plasticky; wobbly; only bus to ever leave me by the side of the road (burning smell, evacuated on to the verge in the middle of nowhere in the dark); had a driver other than the driver of Burny McBussy bitch about reliability also.

I was a CIE contractor with CIE ID at the time of the possibly-burning one so the two of us were looking around the outside of the bus with torches (well, the verge side - I didn't have hiviz) looking for flames :P Smelled like clutch friction material, not sure what type of autobox it has, whether it has a torque convertor or a DSG-style one with clutches. And I've long since escaped the place that was renting me to CIE.

Is that the first of the new TFi busstops for DB only routes?

I saw a bus like that passing where I live full of passengers inside at around 3:05am this morning.

Do Leinster Coaches normally run a bus that late in the morning?

It is possible. When the Wrights Venue was open in Swords a number of private operators used to run services to/from the nightclub to destinations around Dublin and Meath. Leinster Coaches may do something similar.

Looks like they didn't even remove the London Transport logo on a few of them. Fresh arrivals?

The more I look at this, the more I like this livery. Forget all the hybrid stuff... the green and yellow really suits it. Maybe DB should adopt this as the new standard?

I don't get the db livery dislike as it has the Dublin colour scheme...

No I like the standard livery as well (it's far, far superior to the Go Ahead/NTA mess).. I just think the green works too and is a nice reminder of the 80s two tone :)
