Hard to know, really both should expect to see increases as we move into the winter, but TLLS is suffering this year.

Any storm ratings for the news that day and the night before?

RTE been getting away with the LLS for years and years. They treat their audience like idiots. Same guests, same format, same rubbish week in week out. I'm not surprised the ratings are finally starting to drop.

Notice JNRL announced today, never anything in the news about TV audiences, unless RTÉ and TV3 are announcing their top shows.

To me it doesn't seem that Coronation Street or Emmerdale are growing all that much, but rather RTÉ ONE is having a dismal new season. Ranging from 222,000 for Nationwide at 20 to 436,000 viewers for The Late Late Show at number 1. TLLS is up from previous weeks with this years run down significantly, I think this might be the first time its breached 400,000 viewers since it return in Sept. Fair City is in at Number 2 with 343,000 a massive 100,000 difference between 1 and 2 slots.

First week for RTÉ2 without sport and their Quasi-Factual Docs (or Constructed Reality) programmes are significantly down from last year. Living with an Addict tops the chart with just 110,000 viewers, while Say Yes To The Dress Ireland gets just 96,000 viewers, Salon Confidental getting just 68,000 viewers while a repeat of First Dates had 62,000 viewers.

Home and Away ranged from 62,000 to 68,000 viewers, with no show for Tuesday or Wednesday night.

Repeats of Constructed Factual saw John Connor's America with 56,000 viewers at number 20 and Lords and Lades (which has to be on its Nth repeat) had 69,000 viewers.

For TV3 X-Factor remains at just 155,000 and 147,000 viewers.

Irish entertainment shows on the channel, Googlebox (147,00), Blind Date (141,000), Living with Lucy(109,000) and Xpose Wednesday with 100,000 viewers. The Rehab had 113,000 viewers, meaning PK Tonight and The Tonight Show are under 100,000 viewers.

Boost for TLLS to 506,000 viewers but a massive drop to 380,000 for Prime Time's special report. What would BH Monday be with out RITY on getting into 3rd place with 361,000 viewers.

RTÉ2 and TV3 both did well with Champions League coverage 245,000 and 240,000 viewer respectively.

RTÉ2's First Dates Ireland gets 112,000 viewers (A new series?), Say Yes To The Dress had 101,000 viewer with The FAI Cup Final getting 107,000 viewers.

XFactor on TV3 remains at 166,000 and 144,000 viewers. Brendan Grace had 165,000 viewer with 18 Blind Date 20:59 Sun 4.0 143
    19 Gogglebox Ireland 20:59 Wed 3.9 137
    20 Neville's Doorstep Challenge 20:30 Thu 3.7 129

no sign of Xpose, PK or The Tonight Show.

No sign of Xpozzzzure? That's great news. Hopefully that D4 rubbish will continue to fall in ratings until they do the right thing and get it off our screens for good.

That is one huge rating for The Today Show. The storm definitely had people in watching telly. Although, it may have been nice if some of the channels like 3e went off-kilter and showed something different considering most of the irish people were stuck inside.

Blind Date doing well if you add up the repeat with the first showing.

Ray D'Arcy's rating is getting close to the Late Late Show. unsure whether TLLS is just getting bad, or RDS is getting better. Surely it can't be the latter. :D

Last sentence of first paragraph: they should make a new late night alternative music show. I'd definitely tune in for that!

The widely-flagged appearances of Ibrahim Halawa and Conor McGregor boosted the Late Late, so will be hard to repeat that next week.

So tried to get figures for TV3's Daytime programming, but so secretive when shows aren't doing well. Basic response was TV3 between 7am and 5:59 has 17% share of the audience V RTÉ One's 13% (between Jan and Sept). RTÉ One's Today programme had a 15% share. I assume that Ireland AM still has a 25%, with no increase for Elaine since her move from Midday. Took them 3 months to respond to the email, and they didn't even give the info I wanted.

On RTE1, outside of the Today Show, there is very little there. 2 hours of soaps is way too much. Very little variety, when considering the range of different types of programming on BBC1.

Surprising that the RTE Press Office has yet to tweet any ratings for "Super Saturday". Edit - Medialive figures out, with Ireland v Denmark getting 731,000 and 580,000 for the rugby. Unsurprisingly, the Saturday X Factor fails to chart for TV3 as a result, and the Sunday edition only registers 139k (affected by Blue Planet II?). Late Late reverts to 444k, and Ireland's Greatest Sporting Moment records a respectable 142k. No Tonight Show or PK on TV3, but David McWilliams scrapes into 20th place, on 102k.

RTÉ One is very lucky to have seen an increase in October both yearly and monthly.
RTÉ2 just how low it can go without sport, though it was up on a yearly basis.
RTÉjr and RTÉ1+1 see no signs of change
TV3's increase is interesting, nearly reaching its RWC figure in October 2015.
3e's increase is also surprising nearly getting 3% with nothing major on the channel
    be3 and +1 standing steady.
Can only mean good things for TV3 with I'm a Celeb.
Meanwhile TG4 is up from last your but as expected down from last month, and eirSport remains low, they really need to return to Virgin.

It will be interesting to see how Super Saturday helps RTÉ2 for Nov.

Is no-one in RTE even embarrassed, or asked questions of, on the amount of dross it produces.

I don't know, but is TV viewing like radio listening ? Passively watching Ray Darcy et al, desperately trying to entertain the nation on Saturday nights.

News Special on TV3 was on at 8pm on Monday night, to me I think TV3 should at least move the news to 8pm from either 5:30 or 7pm instead of Xpose. Though the storm also helped this figure, but it was sandwiched between Coro St. Xpose could move to 7PM on be3.

And if it did, even fewer people would watch it.

That's fine but even more people would watch TV3 News.

To me these weekly figures look like RTÉ ONE is shedding viewers. Mid-October and RTÉ One's number 20 is getting just 206,000 viewers for a repeat of Mrs. Brown's Boys.

Clearly TLLS is helped by its guests, can only imagine how Gogglebox does/did. But the difference between TLLS and Prime Time at number 2.
    509,000 viewers v just 356,000 viewers.

RTÉ2 is again lucky with sports. Clearly Den V Irl was going to do well with 885,000 adult viewers. Guinness Series Live Rugby had 386,000 viewers, their top 10 taken up with sports related programming, with just No Where Fast getting 92,000 viewers, it will be interesting to see how this does over the next few weeks considering the good reviews. I haven't seen it.

Repeat of First Dates had 78,000 viewers, with RTÉ going ahead with Say Yes To The Dress series 2, when its only getting 76,000 viewers.

Aussie Rules had 73,000 viewers with Against the Head getting 65,000 viewers.

TV3 welcomed back I'm A Celeb with 304,000 viewers getting it into 13th place over all, but no increase for X Factor which hangs around the 150,000 mark.

Xpose Fri and Wed had 124,000 and 119,000 viewers respectively, no sign of Blind Date <<<< last ep was the previous Sunday and it was not repeated last Saturday.

Pat Kenny entered TV3's Top 20 for the first time since his return with 109,000 viewers at number 20, no sign of The Tonight Show so far.

The Corrie effect is continuing to help Xpozzzzzure I see. I'd happily put a revived Nightshift in that slot instead. Hopefully the likes of Ailbhe Reddy and The Academic wouldn't be too much of a turn off for soap fans with their catchy indie pop. :-)
