    12/1 Muller top scorer in Boyles earlier...max bet a tenner. Probably long since gone but throwing it up there.

    Fancy France but not at 7/2. Bad memories of 2002 when I backed them at a similar price. One of those sides that always do the opposite of what I want them to.

    Will just pick a couple of 25/1 + top scorers and bet on matches. No outright for me. Have Spain in sweep so happy to leave at that

    No Martial? As a United fan I'm astonished not to see him the starting eleven but maybe I'm biased.

    Can see France winning but I don't think it's going to be easy/pretty against Romania.

    Only conceded two goals in qualifying and none away from home. OK poor group in fairness but they sound tough to break down.

    I'm looking at btts for this game too (and possibly all the French group games) - the odds are so big it's tempting. I believe they lost a few defenders in the run up to the tournament. Also lack of fully competitive games at International level adds to it for me.

    Interested to get your thoughts on it too Las, cheers.

    Just gone with Italy as outright winners at 16-1 with Boyles. If things pan out well, they have an easier trip to the semis that the other side of the draw.

    Last 2 times i really saw Romania was in the WCQ group for Brazil with Holland and they got spanked both times.

    Always looks to me they just dont show up for matches they know they cant win and then are fully focused in the ones they have a much better chance.
    So yes, i can see them get beat by a 2 goal margin.

    A couple of long shots on top scorer:

    Sigurdsson @ 200/1
    Nani @ 150/1

    Both are in Group F which is arguably one of the easier groups.
    Sigurdsson is Iceland's main man and will take all free kicks and penalties.
    Nani will be up front with Ronaldo and the difference in prices is too big imo.

    4 goals could be enough for a tie in the golden boot here.

    I don't usually take goal scorer bets before the XI is out but that price was too hard to turn down.
