A MONTH OF INTERNATIONAL (almost) FOOTBALL - IT'S SO EXCITING.

The TV is all set up in the office, the plans and arrangements have been made for the Ireland games. The sweepstake has been done (I'm not going to be winning that one).

Do you think we'll get out of the group?

    What are your predictions?

If you're not into it, that's sound, there's probably a lacrosse forum somewhere that you can post in (if there is, I'm going to get shouted at by Mr. Cage).

    Mod note:

This thread is about the Euros. THE EUROS!!! This is not about Man Utd vs Liverpool or any of that stuff. Leave all (civilised) club football talk for the soccer forum and don't use this thread as an excuse to post what you cannot post over there. Or face the wrath of becoming a lacrosse fan.

    COYBIG!

    I'm excited.

I don't think we'll get out of our group though.

That France team is the favourite for me. I wonder will Belgium's very good players finally turn into a very good team.

Anyone seen my Opel Ireland Jersey? Need to get in the mood for the euros!

Predictions time: Spain to win it.
    England to do well.
Ireland out at the group stages.
Gomez (DE) to be the top scorer.

When does it start? Soccerball competitions are great for getting stuff done. There's nobody about.

I just drew Iceland in the work pool. What are the chances they'll get past top 16?

Belgium at 11-1 represent a bit of value in the betting market.

Ireland will draw with both Sweden and Italy but that, unfortunately, won't be enough to get them through the group.

Our entire competition likely rests on the first game. Lose to Sweden and we're going home after the group stages I'd expect.

I think Spain will win it, they'll have a point to prove after the World Cup. Hard to choose between them, France and Germany though in fairness.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Lads - did no one tell him why Iceland even made it to the Euros?

    God sake

I'm more excited about the security arrangements, although I will be watching as many games as I can.

Hope Ireland perform and fight like fcuk but if they win, I'll eat my own ass.

I got Spain in the office pool.

I know nothing about football, but purely on the basis of this thread I'm going to spend my winnings in advance on ice cream and other fripperies. Woo hoo!

Isn't it dismal that our pundits are hoping we can steal a 1-0 win against Sweden and then stop the Italy and Belgium from playing good football by closing them down.
Might as well stay at home.
I hope we play expansive attacking football in a spirit of optimism and adventure and go down blazing.
It's supposed to be a game.

Have you ever played a game? The point is to best your opponent, it's why things like this exist. That's where the beauty lies. If you want something aesthetically appealing you'd probably be better off making a fresco or something.

If we Greece our way to the trophy with the most eye bleeding football ever to exist, I'll be delighted.

Seriously skip to 1.00 in this video. ''I'm disappointed that Mexico didn't make it to this Euro Cup.''

    France for me, or Wales.

We (ireland) wont be as bad as four years ago. Might get through as one of the best 3rd placed teams. England as well to scrap through.

See there has aready been trouble in Marselle between French Ultras and English Fans.

    Its kicked off early.

Will England do ok or will they fail as usual ? The 1966 bandwagon is bursting at the seams. Considering they have such a large pool of good players but they fail to play well together. Paddy Power have them @9/1.
