    Hi

I've got a shower driven by a pump in the hotpress. Hot water comes from the cylinder. The tap is a mixer.

When the tap is either hot or cold everything is fine. When it's in the middle, so 50-50 hot-cold mix, the pump pulses on and off.

On for 1 second, off for second, and so on. So pump works, and there is water from both hot and cold feeds. So why the problem when it's at 50/50 mix?

    Thanks for any insights/advice.

Had a problem similar to this a while ago and the issue was the hose of the shower.
It was nearly collapsed on the inside, so it worked ok on either hot or cold but the pump pulsed on and off when both sides of the pump where calling for water.
Try the pump with a different hose or without the shower head attached and see if that makes any difference.

It could also be the mixing valve on the shower might need replacing. Depending on make and model of the shower these can cost anywhere from 80 to 300 Euro
