Hi folks - I want to do a one day cross country cycle from Dublin to Galway or Galway to Dublin and was wondering if there is an easier way due to any normal wind conditions?

Is it easier to cycle east to west or west to east or does it matter?

Thanks for any help making this a little easier!

Theoretically it should be easier west to east.

Thanks very much. So, get to Galway and cycle home to Dublin!

Depending on your schedule, have a look at the wind tab on this page and it will show you the predicted wind for the coming 5 days.

Prevailing winds are westerly (or south westerly), so safer bet to plan cycle from Galway to Dublin. At least the rain will be hitting your back! :pac:
