do I have to be a member of a club? Is it possible to get a quote online?

Unlikely you'll get one online. A broker with a classic car scheme should sort you out.

You don't have to be a member of a vintage club to get vintage tractor insurance, but it helps and in many cases you can get a discount if you are a member of a vintage club or avail of a club only deal.

In our club you can get vintage tractor insurance through one of the major Irish Insurers for just €50 for show and vinatge runs, or €75 euro if you want it insured for private work purposes too. Its all clear cut with your own individual policy

Some clubs used to run an odd system for insuring vintage tractors, a bit like a fleet insurance. I wouldnt have musch confidence in them unless you get your own policy documents and discs

+1 on the above. Recently renewed mine with Axa. Originally organised through the club, but now sort it myself each year. It's for nothing really. Must have a policy on a daily driver, and proof of no claims.
