    I'd say if I had a bunch of not received I might, he could get banned if I reported it as sent and not marked but I sent the key late so it's 99% a misunderstanding I'd say

    You could check their Steam profile to see if the game is in their account. Though they may have passed on the key.

    Nothing annoys me more than when people can't be bothered to take the few seconds to mark a game as received. It's one of the main reasons I don't do many public giveaways on SG. If I'm giving away free games, the last thing I want to do is take time out of my ****ing day to chase down someone who can't be bothered to mark as received.

    Just to take the unpopular side of "People who get things for free and do not immediately mark as received", the primary issue is that the barrier for entry to a steamgifts competition is very very low: For this thread for example, the only barrier is making the post to ask to be added. After that you can click away on every single competition on any device without a second thought.

    On the other hand, in order to actually validate a steam key to an account you need to be on a (1) Personal computer (2) With the steam client installed (3) Which is connected to the internet.

    Taking the time to actually ensure that the giveaways are correct and valid etc seems like the least the winners can do. I don't think marking everything mindlessly as received is the best solution here. I know Steamgifts can ban people for weird reasons, and I have won a few giveaways with duplicate/invalid keys that didn't work and had one that was never resolved.

    Speaking for myself only, the act of validating them is the main sticking point for me, since I have access to a lot of internet capable PCs that I can't install steam on, or I have a home PC with the steam client that can't get online.

    My interim solution has been dodgy patchwork affairs, like keeping a personal document of all won steam keys on my person at all times, then when I have access to a friend's laptop with internet, logging onto their steam client and mass redeeming keys in one go, keeping note of which ones work and which don't, and then marking all as received (or not) as soon as possible.

    Sorry if I am one of the people you're waiting for feedback on (I probably am), but it's just because the time to resolve everything on my end is a lot more than a few seconds.
