    Hi guys,

Very worried about my two year old male cat.

In the past few days I've noticed quite a large and sore looking hole/wound on the side of his mouth and at the bottom of his chin/neck area.

    See attached photos.

We are getting him to a vet ASAP but does anyone know what could have caused it? Looks horrible! He's fast asleep here and hasn't really been yowling out in pain or anything like that.

    Thanks!

    Could be from a fight?

Better to get it looked at anyway.

Yes possibly. Lots of neighborhood cats around here! Will get him to the vet this week.

Do - bite wounds can turn to abscess and with the location of those I wouldnt be hanging around.

I was going to say the same, time is of the essence here. Once they get infected and turn to an abscess, it's a whole different ballgame. Get him to the vet and get some antibiotics into him ASAP.
