Yep, it is worrying. Almost as worrying as getting your knickers in a twist over women wearing a bit of lipstick to deceive you. I'm not one thing judge but paranoia can do weird things to a man

Actually I referred to people going full joker... Not wearing " a bit "

I mentioned several times there's tasteful makeup and then there's this new trend of people looking like they got into a fight with an episode of art attack...and lost

But please, do continue to misinterpret my words :)

You still are not getting it.
As an adult, yours nor societies approval is neither wanted nor required by a grown woman any more. Here in the West, anyway :)

You seem fixated on the rights of women throughout the whole thread.

Because I find applying makeup, blending, contouring, strobing, highlighting, etc relaxing. It's like one of those adult colouring books but for my face.
I like buying clothes I'm excited to wear. I ADORE shoes and would eat beans on toast for a month if it meant I could buy a pair of designer shoes.
I have a pair of Christian louboutins that I love so much I would never dare wear them outside for fear of damaging the sole of them.

I love high heels. I love standing tall. I love having good posture. I love being able to walk confidently in a beautiful pair of shoes. I have amazing teeth and love wearing shades of lipsticks that make them look even better. I have almond eyes and my eyebrows are defined to a T for my face. (I have a face compass thing I use that measures the exact shape brow I need for my bone structure using the 1.618 ratio.

Do you think a man looks at my face and can appreciate the precision of a good brow shape using the golden ratio? No.
    It's all for me

That sounds exausting but if it makes you happy.
Maybe it's all for you but I'm always sceptical. Certain things send signals and not all sexual. It could be a signal your sending to other women that you have time and money to spend on your appearance.

What do shoes and not eating beans have to do with each other..?

Ha! No! If a woman asks me what I'm using or what I'm wearing, I'll tell her and if she's interested, I'll tell her dupes of products I find really good for way less than the splurge product.
There's an entire mega thread in beauty dedicated to cosmetic reviews, and I love buying new things both cheap and luxury, and I'll always review it for anyone that's interested. I don't have any competition. I'm not interested in sending any signals to another woman.

    This is not about approval

I made a point..a pretty objective one actually

Someone neglecting their health is worrying for society, for children, lead by example, values all that

Oh wait, yes..I forgot.... This is all about "me" and "my" life...and **** anyone who doesn't agree.....even if the values I'm portraying are damaging for the collective..thats the attitude I assume?

No wonder the Ireland is one of the most highest ranked on individual vs collective behaviour

Do go on...tell me more about how living in nutritional deficiency for a pair of shoes or reinforcing the facade that women need to plaster themselves in makeup is right for the "western" world :)

Only in reply to where my own(and as a woman I'm answering as a woman)reasoning is being questioned with regard to wearing make up and the notion that anything I do is done to either attract or the deceive men in some way. Its not. I think men are great, but not my sole reason for anything I do :)
Some posters are still not grasping that(maybe its a rarity?)

Generally, as a rule of thumb, if the question "Why do women do this?" occurs to you, you can assume the answer is "Because they want to, and they don't care how you feel about it".

    "Why do men shave/grow beards?"
    "Because they want to"
    "But...I don't like it!"
"They don't care what you like, Candie, they're not doing it for you"
"Don't be silly, obviously their only motivation is to attract me and others of my kind! Because evolution!"
"Eh, no. They like how it looks on themselves"
    "But I don't like it"
"Once more Candie, they don't care what you like"
    "Why not?"
"Because you're not the centre of their world"
"They should still stop doing it. I don't approve"
"Nobody cares what you approve of"

It seems hard for people to grasp that their opinion ≠ universal truth.

I remember my first time becoming aware of "HD eyebrows", there was a sign advertising them outside a nearby beauty place. I honestly thought it was a pi$$ take due to the name and the sheer ridiculousness of them.

Still though, fake tan leads the pack.

Would you calm down, you're being hysterical. While I appreciate your concern for my nutrition, I don't like beans and I earn enough for shoes and food. If I didn't, I would still save.

Actually beans on toast is not a bad meal. I always remember a nutritionist teacher telling the class about how she practically lived on beans and toast through her student years because it's cheap and a lot more nutritious than people think :)

I have to say, this is one of the funniest things I've read in weeks.

I'm going to contribute to the downfall of the West by putting on a little bit of mascara to celebrate!

And I'm not even going to eat first.

It's all me me me me me!

I had an ex save for well over a year for a particular motorbike he wanted. He DID practically starve himself to get it(he had many a day where all he ate was a packet of Supernoodles )
He was a bag of bones by the time he got it and by the time I left.
I can only imagine that women right across Ireland were in a shocking state worrying about his welfare :D

Great source of fibre, just wouldn't fancy being around anyone who solely ate beans on toast for the obvious reason

It would depend on the type of beard. I'm sure some guys grow them because some women love them. If it's a waxed and designed then its for attention.

Dammit, I was just going to have lunch. But now I realise that I can't do that because you're not eating. I'd better put on mascara AND eyeliner, that's what society expects of me.

Jeez, thanks Candie, you've ruined the collective's afternoon!

I've been watching youtube footage of football games I actually went to.

I approve because I'm prone to shoo myself along with the collective. The lipgloss makes me do it, and I think the blush might be involved too. :(

Obesity crisis solved though, tomorrow I'll eat and you can wear lipstick too.

Or something. I'm very confused at this point!

Of course you do, you've missed it these past something odd pages by banging on about women's rights and whatnot.. All because you don't like someone's opinion :)

Will someone make me a sandwich? Ham and cheese. Mayo. Oh and white bread. And yes, cut it in half, please. Thanks. Any tea? Milk and two sugars. Just enough milk to colour it. Cheers, big ears. No hass, big ass.

    You're not a mind reader.

It could be designed because that's how they like their beard to look.

Jesus, it's not hard to grasp surely? People like to look a certain way because it makes them feel good.

My gran doesn't leave the house without a slick of Revlon Red lipstick and a spritz of perfume, and at 80+ it's not because she wants men falling over her, it's because that's how she sees herself as a well-groomed and poised lady.

So a couple of questions I have on this.

Ass fat injected into the lips right - or some synthetic material.

But does it ever break down or are you stuck with the pouty face thing for ever more? Coz I see it on TV and I'm talking Jersy shore here - have those girls permanently changed their appearance from it?

Some fillers can be naturally absorbed by the body so if you don't regularly top up the fillers then your lips will go back to normal. I wouldn't be into it myself but the fillers that are around today are a lot safer than the type Meg Ryan, Leslie Ash and Pete Burns are famous for. Hyaluronic acid is absorbed naturally by the body and that's what most practices use now when using fillers.
