I have an interview coming up for a Project Manager position.

It's the first time I have been interviewed for such a role. Can anyone give me some advice on common questions that I should prepare answers for?

I have worked in the IT area for 20 years - in dev & QA. Any good links to good questions/answers please ? Thanks

Google 'top 20 most common interview questions' and then record yourself on the camera of your computer answering them. Do this a few times - try even 'top 50', and you'll be grand. Just do a couple of run throught

Have you got PMI certification? Are you planning to get this? Have you done any study towward it?

Have you got Prince2 certification? Are you planning to get this? Have you done any study towward it?

What are the process groups which summarise project management?

What are the knowledge areas project management?

Give an example which shows your expertise in each of the knowledge areas?

Discuss a situation in which you managed a project: was it successful, and why?

Discuss a situation where you managed a project which failed: what would you do differently?

Seriously - it depends on how the organisation approaches project management. Very hard to give you specifics without knowing more about the context.
