Future proof garage for toilet.

I've got an old cottage that's behind the house. My plan was to use it for general storage and a home gym.

I've the roof fixed up and was stoning the floor when I thought about laying pipework for maybe putting in a toilet, sink, and shower.

I figure that the toilet can be a sewer pipe set vertically where the toilet will be. The sink is the same with the 40mm pipe.

However, I can't get my head around the shower. Is there room, when fitting the shower tray, to leave the waste pipe running vertical? Any of the shower traps seem to have a horizontal waste out from them. So would there be room to tie it in? Or for now leave the pipe vertical so I know where it is to dig down in future to tie in the shower waste pipework

the horz is to facilitate the trap/cleaning point, nothing to stop u putting a bend on after the trap.
What about a wet room design: save space?

what material are the walls, careful how you deal with lime based construction/stone walls/masonry walls/
All have DPC's/DPMs?

Walls are stone -no dpc. Future plans involve lime plastering of the walls.

If I decide to go ahead I'll be studding up a new wall to seperate the toilet/shower room from the rest of the cottage(which is gutted)

When you say wet room design - Would this effect putting in a concrete floor? Do you mean to dish where the shower may be? If so, that would be a no go for the moment. I'd prefer a level floor because this shower/toilet thing may never go ahead, and in my head I'd just have 3 pipes sticking out from the floor that I can put shelving over to keep them out of harms way.

Use a floor former to form the base of the shower. They are only about 25-30mm think and once put in level will give the correct fall. Before purchasing you need to decide if you want to tile it or use a vinal floor. As the trap will differ for each.
