Braided iPhone/microUSB lightning cable €6 in Aldi

I bought a load of these last year so can vouch for quality. All are still fully functional. 1.5 metres too so a bit longer than the apple ones.

Usual Aldi 3 year warranty and Made for iPhone certified too so no worries on that score.

MicroUSB also available for lesser phones.

No doubt these Aldi cables are good, but I thought I'd mention these Anker cables too:

A bit more expensive, and usually something you'd throw in your basket when you're ordering something else, but they are fantastic. The problem with long, lower quality cables is that the charge time is increased. These cables don't have that problem.

Got one these as Christmas ,lasted a month , customer service was good , they send me a replacement , again only lasted 4-6 weeks before it stopped charging, that seems to be my experience with any non apple cables in general , but i will prob pick one of these up in Aldi to try , thanks OP.

Very surprised by this. Anker are bullet proof IMO. Never had any issues with any of their stuff I've purchased over the years.

There were plenty in my local Aldi yesterday - I picked up another 2.

As regards the Anker cables, looking at the recent reviews on Amazon it looks like the quality may have dropped off recently as most of the latest reviews are poor. I do rate the Anker stuff though - I have a gaming mouse that's fantastic.

I've had issues with their cables from Amazon recently also....

And not for an Idevice, just long Android cable's...

I picked up a good 1m braided USB micro cable from Heatons for €5 a week or two ago. Specifically mentioned high/fast charging.

I've an Elephone P7000 phone with a 3450mAh battery, and it charges that well.

i bought 2 belkin? cables for iphone 5/6 in harvey norman , 25€ each, stopped working after about 4 weeks ! i was after throwing away receipt so couldnt bring back so people beware

How about the Anker Kevlar Fibre cables?

Anyone have any issues with those?

Have only for my iPad Air about half a year now with fast charge and no issues, as robust as you'll get.

Im fairly sure I contacted them via Amazon website where i bought , they replaced the first one , they just sent out a replacement , didnt actually return it as i mentioned their customer service was v good , i never really got around to returning/complaining about the second , i guess i had lost faith in them at that stage. Not sure what the terms of warranty are though , maybe it is only 30 days via Amazon , might need to contact them directly after that.

You'll have zero issues returning to Amazon / Anker for refund or replacement.

I just checked, it was these ones and they have an 18 month warranty. Nice.

I meant what was it plugged into - PC, iPhone adapter, iPad adapter. USB 2.0 will usually only output .5 amps.

Also have the P7000 (Pioneer), bought it on pre-order on GearBest, not happy :mad: Is in the original box over 2 months now, being ignored (like most of the tech I buy on the Chinese sites

Have been using a cable I got in Penneys for €1.50 for the iPhone 5c for the last 2 1/2 months with no problems, and charges much quicker than using Apple charger

Honestly, it does. Might sound ridiculous but it charges much quicker using the cheapo Penneys cable (through a Nokia plug) than it does the actual Apple charger my boyfriend has, just my experience.

A penneys cable and a nokia plug will not charge an iphone quicker than an OEM cable and a 1A USB plug. If it does, then the latter (cable or plug) is defective and should be binned.
