    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has gotten married in the Ormonde hotel in Kilkenny? If so what did you think of it overall?
Myself and my partner were down looking at the hotel but it wasn't 100% setup for a wedding so was hard to get an idea of how it may look, the main worry is the size of the dance floor as it seemed very small.

    Thanks
    Ciaran

Have you tried Langtons? They do much better overall packages. We got married there a couple years ago & were well looked after

The package is actually very good that's the main attraction for it. They have reduced the price too as were offered a cheaper one by the seven oaks in Carlow. The Mrs wasn't too keen on langtons, thought it was nice looking myself.
New park hotel is another we are looking at, but the Ormonde is one we are meant to go seen again this Saturday.

The reason I say Langtons is the band & dj is included in the package
Getting the band & dj separate will push up the price quite a bit
How many guest you going to have?

So far, we are inviting 160. So kinda expecting about 130 to be there ( hopefully )
We have a band and dj package combo sorted already with the one band. The dance floor being small is more of a worry at the moment with the Ormonde

We checked it as well and looked fine but a bit cramped. Not sure if u would be interested in others, but we went with Ballykealey Manor after and were very happy with it

Stayed in the Ormonde twice thought it was ok except for the hotel bar which is very small and sterile.

Just stayed in Langton's over the May BH, great hotel, ranked in the top ten for weddings, great bars, many of them.

They had 2 weddings on the Saturday we stayed and only seen a few guests out in the main bar the place is so big.

Yeah we aren't set on he Ormonde. It's the one we have liked most package and location wise. The pph is very good too, I'll take a look at that place now I don't think I've heard of it

Two weddings on the one day was it? Didn't think they were that big from the pictures.
Was it just no music in the Ormonde or what was it?

Langtons have the ballroom & the set theatre for weddings
The set theatre is the better of the two, it is such a beautiful venue
