Yeah buddy, quite a few. Appears to be those of us who scored below 65, I wouldn't worry though just means more time to prepare for the PCA if/when we do get processed.

Vetting forms sent off today! So glad to get them away. Had to laugh at me sitting in work putting on a fullface of makeup to go get my pictures taken.

I tore my house upside down looking for my spare photos I had taken like couple months ago just to avoid make up and hair as was in such a rush today...ended up having to do the full works anyway lol Grrr! It does feel like a weight lifted when posted doesn't it!

Moving a lot quicker than I expected reading previous posts, we've been lucky so far - and so may it continue. However, I'm expecting a slow down in May as passing out parades begin

Also, been talking to a friend today in GV who said there will be only 2 squads out of 5 in GV by August.

I've went to university overseas so I'm worried that will slow down my vetting :/

First time posting..low 60s here so playing the waiting and hoping game...hopefully get the opportunity to do the PCA...compared to my boxing training (6 days a week) it doesn't look too bad !! Keep training hard those who are lucky to be doing it and remember that you can't cheat a bad diet so eat well...

I'm the same regarding vetting. Starting to think it will take forever, too many uni/home addresses over the years for it to be processed quickly.

2 squads out of 5? They think there will be 5 in total then?

I think they mean there is only space in GV for 5 squads at any one time.

I didn't have to. However I would put It down as you still committed the offence.
The speed awareness course is like a diversion. It's just another way of dealing with the offence. You still pay the "fine" just no points.

It does say excluding parking and speeding, which makes me think it's not needed but I'm not sure

As I said, personally I would. It's still recorded that you committed a speeding offence. You were only offered the awareness course because you met certain criteria.

My apologies. That bit no. I thought you meant the other bit that asked for all convictions etc.
In essence it's better to be fully honest on vetting forms in my opinion.

Yeah I'll just add it anyway! This form is horrendous! Worried I've done stuff wrong!

If it's done wrong, they'll clarify. Just best to give all the information as it looks more honest.

I panic everytime I get an email notification from here. Always think PCA letters will have been received haha

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 85 ✭✭doctorno2014

Looks like PCA for top scorers will b start of June and working down the merit list from there. Letters being sent in the next 2 wks or so.

They won't take a squad over the summer because of parade duty so I'd guess the first one of C3 will be Sept/Oct time.

Where has this information come from?

Anybody get a 'not processing your application at this time' letter in the post?

Yeah buddy, quite a few. Appears to be those of us who scored below 65, I wouldn't worry though just means more time to prepare for the PCA if/when we do get processed.

What does that actually mean? Does that mean we're out? Ive got nothing yet. No letter, no forms. Ive a friend in c2 and he only got his online learning email 2wks ago and has yet to do his PCA

It just means they will process us when/if the funds are available.

It could be that in 6 months time we are going through the remaining stages/still waiting or have been told the campaign is closed.

No one can be sure, but personally I'm being optimistic about our chances, it helps me to stay motivated to train for the PCA so that I am prepared for if/when we get to that stage.

It might be worthwhile contacting recruitment to see why you haven't received anything yet. Have you moved since you filled in the application?

They are taking an extra 100 from C2 before they start into C3. That's why your friend has got his online learning and we haven't yet. C3 is being done in batches so it seems to be 65 and over in the first group and the rest are on hold. Doesn't mean you're out though - just that they'll contact u in due course.
