Forms sent off today. Took me a 4/5 hours to fill it out correctly.

I'm training hard now because Iv heard a few sources say highest scores will start fitness tests in June. Im expecting a letter before next weekend. Crapping myself for this 3.54 = x3laps! Wouldn't expect any squads in before September.

I would not be surprised at all if calls went out in July for an August start.

Training the best I can but because I'm constantly sore I feel like I could cut down and do more quality work outs! So hard to know what to do! I failed the PCA last time as I stupidly had no belief in myself and I was a good bit out. Hoping the PCA is a brave while away but highly doubting it

I was told at AC that you do get another chance however I wouldn't want to take the risk. Especially if you have to wait another couple of months and could possibly miss intakes etc. Best getting it done and dusted first time round.

If you fail the PCA you're given the chance to try it again three months later. Saying that, in theory you could do it again two weeks after; providing they can accommodate. At least, that was the set up in 1405

Everytime I see the video I get anxiety! She makes it look so easy! Let me tell you it isn't so easy third time going round haha

I honestly feel so anxious about the PCA, I seriously feel like I have no hope. Just not enough time, so frustrating! Like you say, no bother first time round but third time round?! Dreading it -_-

You have so long to prepare for something that will take less than four minutes.

Less than four minutes pushing harder than ever before to make sure you pass.

I started running tonight as I have become incredibly unfit and barely completed a mile in 8 minutes :/
However I realise there is at least six weeks before anyone will be doing the PCA. I assure you that if you really do get stuck into the fitness you will not have an issue passing it. Less than four minutes!

It's my weight is the issue. I have been strict diet and strict exercise regime since got the AC results. Seeing results but sooo slowly, I'm just panicking. Thanks for those words though, it's encouraging. I know we all want to pass as it means so much to us I'm sure. Hiked slieve Donard yesterday and resembled something of a slow roasted pig after. Just feel guilty every time I'm sitting still as feel I should be out there pushing harder!!! You're right...four minutes!!!

To be honest the last eight years I've let myself go. I was about 82kg when I joined then. Weighed myself tonight and I'm 92 lol. Technically it throws my BMI over too so I'm going to have to overcome this in the next few weeks.... Now you know why I started running tonight!

Can you answer if you were 65 and below or over 65?

Seems lower 60s are getting the "not progressing at this time" letters. Not the end if that's the case, it's just a pause.

I know people were still getting letters on Friday so perhaps give it another day or two?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60 ✭✭Babybuns

Low 60's just thought i would have got something by now.

I think they just have to to it on batches. My stuff took 6 days from the day it was posted before I got it.

I'd imagine you will have something by Friday. If not I'd call.
