    Electrically operated rear blind.
    Auto dipping (reverse) mirrors.

    LED cabin lighting.
    Soft closing boot.
Wooden steering wheel, electronically adjustable with auto retraction on engine switch off.

    Technology
    Full satellite navigation system.

That v12 jag. Why is it it can be registered in the UK and not in Ireland?
Surely then you could just register it in the UK get the paperwork and just reregister it in the republic.
Also looks to be an ex embassy car.

That Audi is a disgrace the way it's presented by a dealer. Wheels are manky. No nct either they are selling a car that is illegal to drive out of the forecourt. Could be a lovely car and great value if they would knock half a years tax off. But the presentation is lazy.

Makes you wonder if they know anything about the car or if they even looked at it at all.

It's that Munster trade sales place, they seem to deliberately target people who are going to fix cars up a bit and are probably hoping they won't come back with after sales issues. I noticed a Lexus GS they were selling had missing exterior trim so it seems common that they don't clean their cars up.

That A8.. It's like they present it badly purposefully to let people think they'll easily add value to the car by spending a day detailing it.

Annoying list of 'extras' too, it's an A8 yet they have:
Air Conditioning, Central Locking, CD Player, Electric Windows, ABS Brakes, Airbag, Alloy Wheels, Cruise Control, Electric Mirrors, Electric Seats, Fog Lamps, Immobiliser, Power Steering, Centre Armrest, Multi-function steering wheel, Climate Control, Traction Control, Multiple Air Bags, Anti-Theft System

All that stuff shouldn't even be mentioned. How about getting a list of the actual extras, instead of pointing out things which you may or may not find on a 15 year old skoda fabia.

Even though I slated them at the right price if that car was cleared by a mechanic I would still buy it. Would only be at private prices I wouldn't pay the dealer premium. A8 is my favourite out of the Audi bmw and Mercedes flagships of that time.

The colour is killing that Jag. They go best in stronger shades.

But if you like it ( and I think I kinda do) then why not? Keep it well and it will always look smart. Seriously, you could park that at your local golf club and they wouldn't think for a second that you were only there to fix the jacks.

Can you clarify that statement please.

abandoned at the port, presumably because of being liable for massive amounts of import charges?

He's looking for a reason why the car could be abandoned.

He's looking for a reason why the car could be abandoned. Kinda obvious what the poster is looking for.

'Can you clarify that statement please' is an abrupt, peremptory and unspecific way of asking for a backstory, hence why I would like him to clarify the clarification he is requesting (not asking for).

A japanese car importer closed down during the early days of the recession. They owed the shipping company, the vendor and the port monies. The dereg certs/etc weren't with the cars as they were held pending final payment, which never arrived. Cars became property of Dublin Port Company, who insisted that any potential buyer pay 'storage fees' for the time the cars had spend on DPC property.

Some time in the last year or so, someone reached a deal to buy the cars in one lot.

How true any of this is, is impossible to know - but that's the narrative that has formed over the years.
