What did Prince name his pet dog?

I'd say he put aside a few classic songs for his after death legacy releases. Maybe some stuff in there that he wrote back in the 80's. Will be interesting to hear.

I don't know, what did he name his pet dog?

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

Listening to 'Erotic City' today, kept thinking its hard to believe the man made that tune way back in 1984. He had all the makings of the futuristic and timeless funk wrapped into that brilliant track.

Van Jones talking about all the humanitarian work Prince did but did not seek the attention(unlike some Irish rocker).

    I have watched that yesterday.

I actually welled up listening to him talking about how much Prince has done for others and almost requested not to be recognized for it.

As one of his lyrics go... He was not a human. He was a dove.

    From Wikipedia

'His parents were both African American,[9] and his family ancestry is centered in Louisiana; all four of his grandparents came from that state'

From a DJ friend of mine that has met him several times. "Ignorant and absolutely no time for fans".

Absolutely wonderful musician no question though.

He was a very private person off stage.
    I wouldn't call that ignorant.

With the second part of your post, I 100% agree.

Doesn't square with a lot of the stuff I've been reading:

a lot of sympathy for him difficult upbringing , probably abused as a kid by his dad, broken home and poor as hell. and huge social anxiety issues as an adult. I'd imagine he was rarely happy and needed drugs just to feel normal.

The Torygraph is now a reliable source?

The owner also owns the Sun...

I find these remarks are passed mostly by people who are disappointed that a celebrity didn't appreciate having their personal space totally invaded by a complete, often overexcited, often drunk, stranger.

Him and Sinead O'Connor didn't get on at all according to her.

First time she met him was after Nothing Compares 2 U when Prince summoned her to his California house to tell her to stop using foul language in her interviews and she responded by telling him "**** off"

That would be Sinead alright :D

he became a JW and stopped playing some of his older stuff, I assume it was then?

The telegraph is owned by the Barclay brothers whereas the sun is owned by Rupert Murdoch.

Furthermore why are you talking about sources anyway? I'ts an opinion piece by a prince fan, not a news piece.

Matt Thorne's book was quite good - well worth a read it you are a fan.
Though Per Nilsen's works are the best by far.

Sorry my bad, it's still the most right wing daily newspaper in the UK and nothing but a mouthpiece for the most right wing government Britain has had since Thatcher.

Hence I didn't even open the link.

My point was on Prince and his attitude towards many of his fans and I was given that as a reply, which was completely irrelevant to my words.

Just because some super fan writes a glowing blog doesn't make my point any less valid.

So opinions / sources if the wording wasn't the best it doesn't matter anyway does it?
