Possible upgrade from M Sport alloys on BMW F11

Just looking for some ideas about upgrading the alloys on my F11. She's a 2013 model that has the standard 18" M sport alloys, think 350 style(not the style 613 that's found on the 141 M Sport). I do like the 19" 351M that comes with the M Sport Plus package. Would the difference in wheel size make much of a difference to the comfort of the car over bumps etc? Also, it's not very clear but is it possible to have staggered alloys on a Touring?

I have the 20" alloys on my F30 320d. They are generally fine in terms of ride, until you encounter a pot hole, or even a deepish manhole cover. Then you'll feel it! They do look great though.

Is that on an F30 model dudara? I think they would look lovely with the sharp styling on that particular model, not too sure on an F11 though

I think 20" might be too unforgiving with the M sport suspension as well.

I had factory 18" wheels on my old F10 with the standard SE suspension and the comfort was like an armchair. My current F10 M Sport has the 19" Style 351M wheels and the comfort is definitely down on the SE but still very easy to live with.

One thing I will say though is that the 19" wheels are more delicate and prone to curbing. Previous owner of my car had a few encounters with curbs and I'm probably going to need at least one of mine refurbished. Thankfully only for a 2 mile stretch most of the roads I drive on are in good condition so no pothole damage so far. Also proper rubber is expensive, your talking about €200 at least for a decent brand runflat tyre in that size but that's the joys of them.

On a side note if you have the deleted M Sport suspension option on your current M Sport then it will sit about 1cm higher than a car with the M Sport suspension so the car might appear a bit tall with the 19" Style 351M wheels on. Also afaik all genuine Style 351M wheel sets are staggered, not sure about the reps though.

Cheers Bazz, it has the M Sport suspension alright so that bit lower and stiffer, although not sure how much it affects the Touring with the self leveling rear suspension. I have read somewhere that you can't put staggered alloys on the Touring because of the rear suspension but not much info on it. Think a call to a dealer is required.

I think your right about the F11 not having a staggered setup. From reading here plenty of owners have fitted staggered wheels but no harm in checking with the dealer anyway.

19" 351M are €3000 and that's without tyres! I can get replicas for €995 without tyres, how are these in comparison to the BMW's? Basically, would they be cheap rubbish?
