That kind of thing is utterly unacceptable.

He should get a 10+ game ban from the stadium for that kind of blatant cheating.

I'd take that if it was the Gerrard slipping situation but having managers interfere with what's going on the pitch should be treated incredibly seriously.

Most he's going to get is a three game ban.

Luis Suarez has scored more league goals in 2015/16 (34) than Mario Balotelli in his last five seasons(29)

Luis scored more in his last 2 games(8) than Mario has in his last 2 seasons in all competitions (7).

For those two basics of a goalkeeper you have to look at both the player and the coach.

Will be as disappointed going in to the new season if John Achterberg is still there as much as Mignolet.

main issue here i think is we shouldnt want another stop gap or 'up and comer'. We need someone proven. Similar to when Spurs signed Lloris (a signing I have envied for a while and if there hadn't been a Spurs resurgence, someone i would have targeted), he was Ligue 1 keeper of the year for 3 years in a row at Lyon.

I agree but I just can't see the solution. I can't see where the next Lloris is playing right now, where he is gettable for us.

P.S. that's not to say he doesn't exist by the way, just that I can't name this solution but I'm not paid big bucks to do so. ;)

Just throwing it out there for discussion because as people say, there doesn't seem to be an obvious goalkeeper so what about Iker Casillas on a two year deal?

34 years of age which isn't old for a keeper. Bags of experience at the highest level. Knows how to command an area.

Shadow of his former self, though.

We don't even need a world class keeper, just a competent one would be a huge improvement for next season.

It's fecking huge, though that's probably a reflection on how small the stadium is conpared to Old Trafford or the Emirates.

So then United are going to get 4th aren't they? Though Arsenal know how to get 4th.

The good news is one of the "three-quarters of the big four" is going to lose out.

Ter Stegan is for me is more potential. He's only 23 and Barcelona don't use him for their league matches.

    Timo Horn is 22.

    Jack Butland is 23.

It's hard to call. Do you want youth in that position or experience?

Not if City and Arsenal get top 4.

Arsenal and City agree to draw their game and United can't catch them on goal difference!! :pac:

That's giving Arsenal a lot of credit to beat Norwich and whoever else.

no. He is about 3 years past his best. Been poor at Port by all accounts as well.

Personally, I'd be all about experience, someone truly tried and tested, but Casillas is a busted flush. I'd be trying to get Diego Lopez off Milan first.

Rodriguez from Fiorentina, or Marchetti from Lazio, maybe? Only seen either a couple of times, but both look more solid than Mig. So does a kebab left on Kevin Street in the rain over night, though.

Lucas Alario of River Plate has been dropping hints in Marca talking about having the Liverpool jersey and playing as Liverpool on FIFA.

Tim Vickery was saying about two months ago Liverpool were in for him and it was looking like a deal was going to be done but 3rd party ownership was holding it up.

Lopez would be good but this club should never do business in Italy again!!

Although thinking about it you could try to make a deal with Lopez and Balotelli switching.

why do we always mount a title challenge when the winner gets a million points?

This seasons been shíte. tough to see leicester win it on less point then we got 13/14.

Can't see the boss looking anywhere but the German leagues which he has knowledge of.

Are we agreeing that the signing committee is dead ? Did he say who has full control and final say ? I would like to see staff changes, especially goalkeeping first. That would be the carrot to attract a good young keeper.

What goalkeeping coach would attract a good young keeper?
