That just looks bad because of the slip? Every tackle uses an arm or a shoulder lads, what else are they supposed to lead with?

Leading with shoulder alone is very different. He made no effort to wrap and control the contact.

Only 5 minutes before the ref had penalised and warned Farrell over a high tackle...I imagine that played a part in the card too.

    Goddamn, Wade. Lovely.

    Goddamn, Wade. Lovely.

After that Wasps blew it though. Needed to go wide out left rather than forwards closer in. Opportunity missed.

Wade was right there, lineout should be back in the Sarries 22

Ah, such a silly pen to give away. Lucky Farrell missed.

That's complete bull. Poite clearly indicates play on and holds both arms out. The player played the ball and then Poite changed his call.

    Hmm that could be costly

No chance prop gets out of the way of that. Play on for me.

Why go to four when Itoje has been murdering you all day

Itoje at the lineout brings back memories of what he did to us in Twickenham in February.

Saracens getting over the gain line much, much easier than Wasps.

Little kick out alright while he is being held back

Kicking someone in the head is ok in the premiership, he must have forgotten he was in Europe

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,998 ✭✭✭✭bilston

Poite has this wrong. It has to be red.

Doesn't matter why he kicked him in the head.

That said, morally speaking I'm he only got yellow because it was hardly the most vicious kick, but he will probably be cited.

Red card for 17, YC for Itoje...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,978 ✭✭✭✭irishbucsfan

I'd agree with Poite there. Yeah sure it's technically a red perhaps but I think a yellow here is more within the spirit of the laws

Still think Itoje should be punished for cynicism. And a red for McIntyre.

Why was Itoje even holding him there? There was no advantage to it. Mitigated red as yellow seems OK.
    Daly time?

Would actually agree with that, though given the time left in the game that means both getting effectively the same punishment.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,468 ✭✭✭kuang1

Rules say red for that right?
But I think the fact that it's very obvious the kick has no 'follow-through' possibly implied that red would have been harsh?

    I know,I know...."de rewels is de rewels"...

Edit: Yellow right call for me.

Well there's certainly an advantage to preventing a defender from leaving the breakdown

Quinnell dead right about that deliberate knock on. Should have been a yellow there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,454 ✭✭✭A-Train

Sarries do what Sarries do, just bore/strangle the other team to death! In the final the only hope now is the other semi winner beats them on the day.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,487 ✭✭✭Dave_The_Sheep

Well, if I was looking for forlorn hope, I'd say that few teams would be able to score two tries in six minutes ... Wasps might be one of them.

    Against this Saracens team? Nah.

Obviously you haven't seen much of Sarries this season, they've been playing very good rugby

    Game back on?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,899 ✭✭✭✭BBDBB

    Got one back.
Get the kick and go do it again
