Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So with the reduced amount of pay points in a constables salary I wonder how you move from one point to the next?

Will it happen after a period of time has elapsed or do you have to complete additional assessments to move up?

I think it just increases every year also pretty sure it evens out with C1 recruits salary by year 7 or so.

Point 0 to 1 after training then you go up a stage each year.

60-70 here! Hardest AC for any job I've ever done. Should I ever have to do it again I know I'll be far more prepared for it. I didn't know quite what to expect!

Hello all! First time poster. 60-70 scored at AC

I believe there is a gap between one campaign finishing and a new one starting.

So in answer to your question; who knows lol.

Wonder how much of a gap between campaigns there is?

Depends on the finance situation but the first intake for 1509 campaign will probably start September/October time

Passed with 72% anyone have any idea with the budget when we could be called for PCA etc?

  • Registered Users Posts: 64 ✭✭Redboy12345

One more possible intake of C2 at the start of May if the rumours are true.

Hypothetically speaking, anyone want to hazard a guess at working out when the remaining stages of our campaign could be.. If say, the first intake of C3 would be on Monday 5th Sept and they ran the same type of intervals they have for C2? Grasping at straws here I know!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 38 resp5

Yeah I think September is a good starting point for the first intake. The recruitment office probably won't want to run 2 campaigns at once so I'm guessing once this final intake for C2 happens in May (if it does) then they will send out vetting papers and PCA appointments.

It's probably better for us that they do another intake for C2, quite a few people at my AC were in that intake too so just increases your chances of getting a spot in the new intakes.

  • Registered Users Posts: 173 ✭✭MikeOneJuliet

In previous campaigns the last squad started in May and the first squad of the new campaign started at the end of September. Nothing to say they will follow the trend but a good indication

  • Registered Users Posts: 206 ✭✭Delilahbeau

May is happening. The latest calls are also going out as late intakes for the may squad. I believe it to be the last intake for C2 (I'm in that squad).

Anyone else receive vetting today? Not sure which campaign it's for as I was a low score in last year and only a slight improvement this year.

I'd assume it is for C2 as another board member post earlier this week that they received a progression letter for that campaign.

You can get all the information held by Delloite, including your merit pool number and the notes that were made during your role plays at the assessment centre, by submitting a Subject Access Request under the Data Protection Act. Guidance can be found at ico.org.uk/for-the-public/personal-information/

Essentially, all you have to do is send a letter (a template is available on the ICO website) to Delloite MCS Ltd, 19 Bedford St, Belfast BT2 7EJ and specify that you want the information relating to your application, including your merit position. The maximum they can charge is £10, and it must be responded to promptly (within 40 days at most).

I got all the interview notes, merit score, internal communications etc that related to me (any info relating to other persons will be censored out) in a previous campaign. It really helped me prepare for this one by seeing exactly where I was strong / needed to improve.

Anything can happen!!!! I'd totally written off C2 but I'm in! Keep the faith but be realistic about time frames and have patience :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,640 ✭✭✭Homer01

How's everyone feeling a week later?

Initially I was over the moon even with a low 60. For a brief moment after creating the above table I thought I'm going nowhere.
I'm now back to being excited again.

I know I'm in for a wait and I'll not be in the first few batches but confident they'll get as far down as me.

Apart from Marge (the wife ;) ) I haven't told anyone and I'll be keeping it that way. I'll just carry on with life and work as usual but seriously up my fitness.

If another campaign comes along I will absolutely be applying.

  • Registered Users Posts: 25 El Ahrairah

I think I'm much the same. It's hard not to let yourself get excited about it but I know it's important to prepare myself for the potential wait!

I thought I'd at least not have to be obsessively checking my e-mail anymore. Now it's been replaced with checking these boards!

No problem, I thought you might have been in C2 also as someone post yesterday that they received the same letter but was unsure which campaign it was for as they were in both.

I haven't received anything, did you score highly?

I'm low 60's so I won't be expecting to hear anything for a while yet.

Could get something on Monday, it's good that they are communicating to candidates so early on in the process, hopefully a good sign that this campaign will not take as long as previous 2.

It was usually after the PCA, but they must be want to process candidates at a quicker pace than previously, I suppose with PCA resits and Vetting holding people up they must have had problems filling squads from those who had everything passed.

Have just been trying to work out where I am on the mysterious list. I just wanted to know if people think the size of the merit list would he roughly the same this year as last year?
Having looked around For FOI requests for last year I found 810 were passed to the PSNI for their merit list.

I appreciate the pass mark is different this year. We seem to have 39 results on here from passers. I would suggest the people on here may be more likely to pass the AC.

Does it seem reasonable (it's just a thought) to suggest the following :

I'm in the 70-80 bracket. Out of the 39 passers, 16 are above 70.

If that is applied to the number of around 810 it would suggest around 332 people are above 70.
Seem right? I appreciate the numbers could actually be different but I don't have the ones for this year......YET

There are two FOI requests in for this campaign. They should be answered soon enough so we'll know in the next few weeks how many candidates have scored in each score bracket.

States my application is being processed through the remaining stages of the selection process and to be aware the online learning process will run parallel with the remaining stages.

Then asks not to contact their office with enquiries as it will delay their administration and that they will contact us as soon as they're in a position to provide us with additional information on the process.
