    I am delighted to see that others besides myself like brandy. I cannot believe it!

    It is just the most gorgeous drink.

    Anyway, just neat, but warmed up and served in a proper brandy glass please, in Winter that is...

    In Summer, soda water or ginger mixer, still no ice.

    OMG I'd love one now.

    And to make a good situation even better I will only take Martell or Hennessy, none of yer other muck thank you.

    In Spain, Soberano is gorgeous and only 2euro a shot over there. Well the Hennessy costs a tenner, as I discovered recently. Woops.

    I remember when I was 18/19, I took a notion to start on the brandy when I got bet drinkin pints. Thought I was fierce sophisticated altogether.....

    Can't drink brandy. Raided the parents drink cabinet when I was about 13/14 my parents were at my cousins funeral and I decided I wanted to get drunk.
    I filled my glass with brandy and didn't know I needed a mixer. It tasted awful, the absolute worst. So I chugged it. I'll never forget the feeling like my tummy was an fire. I passed out, because I woke up the next day on the ground, still in my clothes and covered in puke.

    Can't even look at brandy since.

    Nice with a ginger ale. I see some old folks drinking it with port. A real winter drink. It is a bit more palatable than whiskey.

    I too like brandy always treat myself to a bottle at Christmas, has to be Hennessy - used to love it straight no ice but it's also lovely as a port and brandy, or with a splash of ginger ale or coca cola -

    I too would also like one now but have work in the morning. The problem with brandy more than two and it's hangover territory for me.

    My late granny used to love a brandy and port.

    TBH I tried it once a few Christmases ago and I had the absolute hangover from hell. That was just the one now it has to be said.

    Cognac/Brandy on its own is fine, but when mixed with port it's lethal. I think anyway.
