    Is it legal to set up a shop of imported football jerseys that are not original?

    If it's got a badge or logo on then it's covered by copyright. United in particular have gone after lots of companies in the past for using their logo.

    If the design impinges any part of the registered trademarks /designs of the clubs, the goods can (and will) be seized and destroyed.
