    Hi,
I'm looking to buy a quadcopter from the US online, it's far cheaper to buy in America than here. I'm wondering would the customs duty fee and vat etc be much on a drone or would I be lucky enough to get away with it.
It would roughly cost €1100 including post.
I remember in the past I purchased a turbo kit from the states and it was expensive and never paid a cent for import fees.
Anyone with any info simplified :) there is a lot on the revenue site.
    Thanks

At that value, I would have thought there is virtually no chance of escaping vat and duties - particularly if it is shipped via a courier rather than via mail. VAT is 23% and duty varies by item (there are websites that estimate duties due) - maybe 5/6%. So you could end up paying €300-ish plus the deliverer's admin fee of €10/20.

The VAT will be the last calculation due, so it will be value of the product PLUS Customs duty, PLUS whatever the shipping is, then VAT on the total at 23%
