I can't make head nor tail about what to do, what I'd be entitled too or how it works on the net.

I'd appreciate if someone could explain it too me in laymans terms.

My situation is I need a wheelchair vehicle for transporting my 10 year old daughter around.

I'll be hoping to buy a 2nd hand vehicle off a dealer somewhere in the region of 10,000 euros.

In short what do I need to do and about how much of a grant could I expect to get?

For that sort of money minus the VRT I'd say you would be better off looking for a new car and take full advantage of the tax relief. You need to be aware that the criteria have changed recently, so your best bet is to contact someone who is very up to date on requirements ..... maybe someone specific in the IWA or Disabled Drivers Association.

There is a lot of mis-information and mis-interpretation out there, so please be careful and try to ensure you get the correct info.
