Well my employer doesn't as I have a job!

Do you eat your lunch at your desk most days?

No we have a spick and span canteen with a caterer. I've eaten lunch in dingy, rodent infested shacks, vans, building site prefabs, dusty warehouses, at my desk. In fact, I've just realised I could write a book about where I've eaten lunch.

What the toughest job you've had?

population 900 roughly, the most inbred weirdos ive ever come across the bar was the type of place where you had to hand over your gun before getting served where offers to prostute myself were very frequent.

hovel hated it but got my 2nd year visa and made a bucket load of cash from the drunkards.

first time id ever seen someone hop a bar during a fight to get their gun...

Not bad, a bit bored though.

Did you win the lotto or something? What's the prosecco?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,318 ✭✭✭✭Menas

The Prosecco is a sparkling white wine from the Veneto region of Italy. North east Italy to be precise!

Does reading about other people having a drink give you a goo for some?

Reading about Italy gives me a goo to go to Italy :)

If you could jump on a plane right now, where would you go?

Fiji. It is always Fiji. Myself and Fiji are like Burton and Taylor - destined to be together again. And again. And again.

Laze on the beach or go see the museums?

I don't go to museums the rest of the year so it's seems silly to go when on holidays.

Is the best thing about most museums leaving?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,455 ✭✭✭maudgonner

Museums. And food. And just walk the streets (in the non-prostitute sense).

ETA: @gramar - the best thing about museums is when they have weird/creepy/naughty stuff. And the coffee shop. I'm really all about the food, it seems.

Do you put pressure on yourself to see the sights when you're on holidays, or just completely switch off?

I see what I would like to see but would not be putting myself under any stress on holiday.

Does it take you long to pack to go on holiday?

    Single.

Do you ever say "me" instead of "my", and if not, what is your opinion of it?

personally i don't, i'm not a native English speaker but was sent to Elocution lessons as a child to 'learn proper English' so am more measured with my langauge when i speak than a non native speaker.

I dont judge, i work with alot of groups that use we instead of my etc
aint instead of is not, etc

My opinion is we are all different and it is great, however i am also in the fortune position to not be judge by the way I speka and I h ave seen people be discriminated against for their accent, tone, manner of language, and thats sad.

it does grate on me a small bit though but thats after a long day of it :-)

why do you engage with boards

why do you engage with boards

There's a fun aspect to it but you can also get serious answers when needed. And you get to meet some nice people. :)

Did you get caught out with the rain today?

I'll broaden it out in a more thoughtful way than the original ad makers intended, so that it becomes a psychological insight into your being (when really it was the best I could come up with quickly) :)

Do you prefer the emotional comfort of a relationship with family, and all the upheaval it can bring, or the more immediate and simple reward of material goods such as money, cars, fancy clothes and fine foods (i.e. chips)?
