Ya I have endometriosis though so that's why we are pressing on! I would def just ask the doc to run a set of bloods always a good starting point and they seem to give alot of info!

It's a tough process especially as the extra pressure of people knowing isn't helpful. Does your consultant have a public clinic? As you could try ringing that and find out if they are off on hols. Or ring the switch board and ask for the dr's secretary public or private just to see if they are off?

Was just reading previous posts on OPK and It's hard to know how reliable they are and all the stress they add to the month, after 7days of flashing smiley face last month I stopped testing

They can be a nightmare to get hold of and lots take these weeks off.
I'm definitely doubting them which would be annoying as I found them easy to use.

Heading to the go tomorrow for bloods. 21dpo today well in the clear blue opk was right. Another negative hpt. So confused.

Do. I spoke to a friend who lives abroad (who is also having difficulties conceiving) and her advice to me was not to wait. We're going into Merrion Fertility tomorrow to get the results of our fertility assessment, fingers crossed we get good news but we are both very nervous and anxious.

Do go back to the gp or could you see a different one? Definetly need peace of mind or to get going with things.

I'm a bit over whelmed at where to start with getting further tests. Would I be right in saying going back to the GP would mean asking to be referred to get further tests done. If it's not included in our health insurance policy it would mean a big wait for a public test or go private?

As an initial test what is a good overall first test to get? I spotted this joint assessment in a fertility clinic. It includes semen analysis, anti-mullerian hormone (AMH), transvaginal ultrasound scan and a detailed consultation with a fertility specialist. Would that be a good starting point?

It's all so over whelming....

That's the route we are taking, I called the clinic and we got seen within a week, it costs €400 for everything so it's not cheap but it was so quick I'm glad we went private and I guess if we need any intervention that will have to be private anyways. Some people start with the gp but we just went straight for the assessment.
