Th bull has figured out he's 500kg of tank and broke out twice yesterday, was moving a heifer in the shed and she roared the place down so putting it down to that....the first time. Second time I was coming back over the lane and he literally just walked over the ditch!
Shut them in an adjoining meadow with mains fencing and found him at his bucket this morning in the first field waiting for nuts.

    I have created a monster!

Will I tie a chain to him? He's surrounded by mains fencing now, the part he broke through last night was a pallet that he just walked over. He's only 11 months, might be a bit young for a chain.

In reality he needs to be behind a mains fence all the time.. using a chain and he'll get snarled up in the ditch all the time which isnt great for their temperament.

True, just be a bit of hassle keeping him behind the mains as it's awkward to carry down one side of our land. The hedgecutter was very efficient last winter and we're seeing a lot of holes now.

I assume he has a ring in him. Unfortunately mains fencer is the only way to keep him in now he has a taste of getting out

Yup, ring put in about 6 weeks ago. Will move the mains fence later I guess, once it stops raining!

Mine is at the same carry-on. Starts and idles up to 1500 rpm, but no further.

New filter fitted this morning, but no better.

Serious muck in the filter, time to change my filling station, I think.

Ringing mechanic later, hope there is a filter in the pump.......

Quick One - What would you consider a safe time after AI'ing to consider in calf. Have a cow gone 25 days after AI and I want to let her out with a bull she is related to.
