Due to the world wide shortage of Cork Tree's due to increased demand from wine makers,Cork Tree's are to be grown in Leitrim on a trial basis.
The initial crop of 50 acres will be monitored closely to see how they cope with a cooler climate, but are expected apparently to produce good quality Cork because of a slower growth cycle.

    What cork shortage?

    It literally grows on trees.

Seems like Cork would have been the obvious place to do it

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

You joke. But I've legitimately never met anyone that said they were from Leitrim, so I'm really beginning to think that it actually doesn't exist and is a prank played by Roscommon.

Someone once told me that if you sit still and stay quiet, a Leitrimer might appear at the foot of the garden. You just have to believe....
