You would probably have all your meat costing about €6/7 per kg . What is it making over the counter in the butchers

The sister bought a leg recently and it was about €45 iirc. Not sure as we haven't bought any for a long time.

Went to Dublin on the bus with kids to 1916 exhibition in the gpo. Great to get a break away from farm for a few hours.

Anyone bothering with windbreak for the hedging?

I put it around the house here about 200 yds of it. I think it looks a tidy job and it certainly gives great shelter to the hedge. E40 a 50m roll is what I'd to give for it. I'm very happy with it.

Was watching Ffeirmio a few years ago and on the presenters sheep farm they had a few goats to put pet lambs on till they paired them up with singles.
Actually when I was small dad reared a few pet lambs on a dairy goat.:)

Neighbour has three kid nanny goats he wants rid of. E5 each. an extra mouth to bottle feed this year could mean less next year

sell a few to repeat customers each year for about 130 to 140 (aug/sept when prices are back & off grass for flavour), cut & bagged to their specs. and frozen

would be about 25 kgs dead weight & they also get the fifth quarter, .. liver heart, etc,

What did you and the children think of it. I will visit it in a while when the crowds die down.

We all enjoyed it, would have spent longer going around it only we had to get bus home. Alot of stuff in it for all ages. Well worth the price. We brought some letters for the kids to post in the GPO, bvd samples got a day out :)

Just got a call from my brother to say he and his partner got engaged :)
Nice to see older people having a second chance of happiness.
My brother has 3 "children" in their 20's from his previous marriage. His partner was single with no children.
She proposed to him on the 29th of Feb but they kept it quite until my niece finished her medical exams today :D
