It is a lovely day out. And I am planning to go out in it. Later. Before dark. Maybe.

Do you like those days when you never leave the house?

No, I need to get out. Cabin fever sets in quickly.

What's the longest you've spent living or holidaying in a hotel room?

I did a month in a hotel room in china and another month in france. Was driven demented.

    Got a fear of needles/injections?

I have a slight fear of needles, it was terrible when I was younger.

What are you up to today?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

Yes. Most recently I had to get a needle in my bum for sciatica. I went to the doctor, in sweats. "I'm going to give you a little injection". My face obviously paled because she followed it up with "are you frightened of needles?" So I turn around and she's saying on the count of three. She started to count down and I moved away from her. By now there's sweat on my forehead. She asked me if I wanted to lay down. I say no thanks, no just do it it'll be fine. She says "are you going to faint?" I assure her I'm not and she starts the count again. So I stop her again and I tell her stop counting, don't tell me, just do it. Such a rigmarole.

Or when I was getting General anesthetic, the nurse was minding me before I went into theatre and I was very upset. She was reassuring me and being nice and the anestheologist came around and was telling me what he was going to do and the nurse just told him to stop talking.

So suffice to say I tend to work myself into an awful state.

Ever have a bad experience with a needle?

Yes. This nurse, who was absolutely terrible, decided to be the one to take my bloods instead of the phlebotomist. She stuck in the needle all arseways and still continued to take the bloods even though I was clearly in lots of pain. My whole entire arm bruised and swelled up, and for about a week I couldn't move or bend it without it being awfully sore.

    Would you have complained?

I'd have sued the health board and their mother.

Do you get bolder as you get older?

Absolutely - only way that nurse would improve.

Do you avoid certain need articles because you don't want to read about a certain topic?

I do...there was a thread about someone throwing a dog down the stairs I saw earlier. No need to be reading that.

Monetary value aside, do you prefer silver or gold?

They can both f off. Sick of movies being made based on them and now they've joined forces. Superbat or is it Manman? I've lost track.

Would you be able to get over a 7 foot wall?

I've gotten many a lapdance, there were a few years where I just hit strip club all the time and knew some of the girls by name.
I wa also at a party in Sydney where we hired a stipper for the birthday boy. She was alot older than we expected, still had good fun and some pictures of the night.

To take the question further, ever hired a private/champagne room in a lap dance club?

No shower, blow dry the hair and a lick of tinted moisturiser takes all of half an hour.

    How long do you take?

    I'm an expert at it.

Why do they call a mid week break a break when you come back feeling even more tired!?

It's just a ruse to make you book a weekend break when you get back!

If you had to eat one food for the rest of your life what would you choose?

    Yup. I'm ridiculously gullible.

    Will you trick people?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,318 ✭✭✭✭Menas

I will tell my wife I love her. She will then spend the day trying to figure out if this was an April fool or not.

Are there any words that you cannot pronounce properly?
