He offered me a lift home in the shaggin wagon. It was a red fiat panda :D I did smile, and gave him a bit of friendly slagging. I can't even drive so who am I to judge.

Is that where your username came from??

The majority of the time I've ever been beeped at has been from Audi and BMW drivers, I'm pleasantly surprised when I am let out by a BMW driver or Audi or when they acknowledge if you have let them out.

They all look the same to me tbh. It's a box that get's you from A to B and the speed limit is the same for everyone.

Don’t care about cars so I don’t judge drivers except for one and that’s the Volkswagen Golf.

It’s just a run of the mill city car but many owners seem to think they have something special and I often observe them being driven at inappropriate speeds, tail-gating, and dangerous overtaking manoeuvres.

The ultimate keeping up with the Jones' car to buy the wife and compliment your 520D.

No, but I judge people who judge people on the car they drive.

    It's all very judgey.

I judge people who judge people who judge people on what car they drive. I'm a real radical, me.

They all have to pass NCTs, the 'deathtrap' days are over.

A battered panel here and there does not a deathtrap make.

As the RSA advertised themselves, the NCT is only stating the car is safe on that particular day. And if you fail you can drive home anyway. I'd imagine there still are death traps out there.

I try not to judge myself but I'm afraid BMW drivers prove a point of them being arse holes. Even when they are not driving they have to swing their keys and leave the keys down so as to let everyone know they drive a BMW.

No mention of my car brand in this thread - breaths sigh of relief.

In my head it's safe to say that anyone who judges someone they've never met, and know nothing about, is an a**hole
So you're judging someone you never met, asshole.

    Banned.

Toyota starlet with padre pio sticker attached.

Should have spent the money on driving lessons

Not like there were back in the 70's/80's, things that had the arse literally hanging out of them with rust. Only saving grace was there weren't as many cars then as now and with the state of the roads...they couldn't go very fast anyway.

I also hate cars with "Baby on Board" signs.

What are you supposed to do?

I drive a 13 year old banged up Mazda. It gets me where I need to go and cost me a grand a few years back. Happy days.

In my younger days I spent all my money on cars. From my first car, through college and into the first couple of years of work I had a series of 200 BHP coupes that ate a good half (maybe more) of my income. I've since become more pragmatic.

    Not ram the car??

People under the illusion that emergency services can spot a small 3'' sign that could go anywhere when a window gets smashed in an accident.
A piece of kitsch, like fuzzy dice of yore.

When you come to sell the car you will get more for the Padre Pio sticker than the car.

Oi, leave us proud Golf owners alone! We don't think it's something special and are known to be great drivers :P

The only car I judge is a micra and that's cos most can't drive the bloody thing and it resembles a little bug.

I was going to say no until boy racers were mentioned. I would happily crush their cars if I had a choice.

I do a bit, but probably not in the way you mean. I see people who treat their cars like they're children and spend a fortune washing and waxing and changing this and that and I think to myself - what a fúcking waste of time and money. It's a machine to get you from a to b, no more. In general I find people who really love their cars tend to largely be assholes.

People that put a red nose and antlers on their cars at Xmas...oooh look, I'm driving Rudolf...

Depending on your perspective, it's a whole lot more!

I do a bit. But usually I would judge them on a combination of car and driving skills.

I would judge a person buying a 4x4 and then needing 2 parking spaces in the car park to be lacking foresight as well as rather inconsiderate, for example.

Mostly I would judge driving skills, though, as most cars look pretty much identical to me, anyway.

I like to think there's some sort of happy medium between being hopelessly in love with the thing and treating it like the dishwasher. :pac:

I do judge people who buy expensive cars. I think they are nuts even if they have the money to spare.... I could never spend 50K+ on a car.

Why is there this attitude in Ireland that people shouldn't spend their money on what they want? I applaud the heroes who spend big bucks on cars because then I can buy them for a fraction of the cost a few years down the line.
