Not sure if these are weird but....................
I can't eat a sausage unless I cut it length ways and scoop the hard bits out first.
Also I can't eat a sandwich etc unless I clean up the mess first.
Also if I buy a sandwich in a shop and see it being made, I still have to take it apart to check it before I eat it.
I hate the inside pips of tomatoes too....normally scoop them out.
Last one I think.....if I accidentally put a bit of eggshell in my mouth I get sick.
    So yeah.....as I said....prob not weird at all :o

Am with you on the eggshell bit, if I find any in scrambled eggs etc, meal over.

I can't eat sandwiches from a deli counter at all, particularly if I see it being made ........ yet I've no problem eating a pre-packaged sandwich?

I refuse to wear anything other than boxer shorts and a t-shirt when at home, within 10 seconds of closing the front door I'll strip off and I won't put any clothes back on until just before I leave the house .......... not that weird (I think?) but it upsets my wife when we have visitors etc.

Also, I can only ever sleep on one hard pillow and no duvet regardless of the temperature/time of year.

Is your heating bill ridiculous or do you just not feel the cold?

    I can't imagine sleeping without a duvet.

Do people still think boiled sausages are weird??

That just made my stomach tighten up.

I don't have (or want) a television or a microwave which seems to shock most people when they hear it; they think it's weird.

What's your norm that people find weird?

What is a television and a microwave?

Turkey sausages are the worst for this even fried. I tried and tried to make it at least look the tiniest bit palatable......gagged on the first bite and binned it :(

I do feel the cold ......... but I like it.

The wife has the opposite problem, she's always cold and hates it!

I run my body clock on different schedules depending on the season

During the summer, I love to make the full use of the mornings before work (live in US and get 4 months of sunshine from mid May til mid September). So I'll get myself into the routine of going to sleep by 9pm and get up at 4am. That way I can go for a 2 hour cycle before work, or alternatively food shop, cook, do the washing etc.

Then I go back to normal hours during the winter when its dark and grim outside.

I wish I could get my body to do that. I always try when clock changes in October and we gain an hour but after a few days I'm back to normal

Its helps that I'm pretty good at the whole sleeping thing:). I generally have few issues falling asleep no matter what time I go to bed. Not so good for meetings in work

You do know that there is no harm in eating eggshell as its very good for you has loads of calcium in it. May not be the nicest thing to eat do. Have eaten the odd bit myself never done any harm.

I've often eaten black/white pudding raw, also rashers, fish, steak....I'm not fussy and sometimes it's a good way to test the freshness or quality of meat if there's no smell off it. Am quare about textures in food though, lumps in mashed spud used to make me gag as a child so now I don't really like spuds, even thick cut chips are a bit bleugh.

    - Don't drink tea -If I'm ordering at a deli it'll always be a white roll, with all the dough scooped out

That must take some explaining in a deli! ..... 'you want me to wha'???

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,257 ✭✭✭BettePorter

I have to open a bag of crisps from the bottom, cause I think the flavour will be there, even though there's no reason it would be.

I know what you mean about textures in food. I can't eat most fruits because of the texture. It sets me on edge! Same with drinking orange juice with bits in it. Oh God even thinking about it makes me feel ill.

Ahahaha you reminded me of me as a young child. Mum would only buy the orange juice with bits as it was 'healthier'. So I'd get the tea strainer out and pour myself a glass though it, sorted most of the yukky parts!
