Is it possible to hire an extra long ladder?

    Hi
    My partner intends to paint the outside of our house & I don't see the point of buying an extra long ladder. Is there anywhere around Bray or nearby you can hire one?

    The hire place near me stopped renting ladders years ago for insurance reasons

    Probably as cheap, and safer, to hire a scissor or boom lift.

    Painting off a ladder especially an extra high one is a recipe for disaster.
    A scissors lift will allow you to paint a much bigger area without having to move the ladder every few minutes and risk falling off while climbing up and down.

    Scissor lift is usually 120/day, boom lift about 200.

    I have to agree with CJ. Ladders are very dangerous. You should always have someone holding it steady for you or as CJ says hire a lift.

    A friend came off a ladder a few years ago. He was a week in hospital, has had several operations on his hand and arm. He will never be able to clench a fist and is still in pain

    My local hire here place does scaffold towers. Safety first. Don't know if they have a place in bray but they might deliver and set up for you?

    If you hire late on a Friday you can get a deal for using it over the weekends
