Indeed, I had to hoist the flag at half mast for the last two days, mark of respect for Belgium on government buildings, back to full mast this morning.

It really irritates me to the point of committing violence when I see the hotel parallel to my workplace allowing the national flag to drag off the ground when it is being hoisted/unhoisted...disrespectful pricks

Do we put people in the stocks in the town square for this carry on anymore? It seems like we should.

You should see Lurgan in Armagh. A massive, massive Loyalist parade going ahead Easter Monday - so the town centre is plastured in Union Jacks, Ulster banners and ABoD flags, then on down is covered in tricolours and "Irish Republic" flags.

I propose a monthly kick in the bollocks for these fuck-wits so they can't propagate their defective genes on the next generation would suffice

With the number of flagpoles that have sprouted up (hehe) over the last month, you might want to polish your bollock-kicking-boots so, they're going to be seeing a lot of action.

They were ripped off. I've just made no change to their flag for free. They should ask for their money back.

The alternative that was voted on was a bit ugly, I don't blame them for rejecting it. Someone described it as a beach towel. It's a bit like Ireland's Call - you see the reasons why an alternative anthem is needed, but why should it have to be so crap?

There was a rejected design that looked good to me - black & white with the silver fern. (But then I don't know enough about New Zealand's history to judge it on anything other than aesthetics).
