Untreated oak v Cresoted German Red wood stakes

    I am going doing a bit of fencing and I cannot make my mind up wether to get untreated oak posts or German red wood Cresoted post.have you any thoughts

    The oak will rot the staples never mind the hardship driving them.

    We have oak stakes here 3 x 3 inch square stakes in the ground 36 years and they are just starting to snap now. I wouldn't mind getting more of them.:P

    You can get insulators that require nails. I use these on oak stakes and substitute the nail with a tex screw. Great job.
