Anyone got any insight in regards to attached pic? Is it the laptop or the router? Is it indicative of a problem?

What, just clicking a link will open multiple connections? What problem are you having?

Can you clarify? There are 5 devices attached, everything else pretty much gets an IP and that's it. But for the laptop the router is spamming that in the logs. Just wanted to make sure there was no underlying issue.

The MAC address in your picture is a Liteon Technology device, the link may provide some answers as it is also about a Liteon Technology device but I am not sure if it applies to your situation.

Spamming what in the logs. You cut out all the actual info.

Having a Netgear unit I can fill in the gaps, its DHCP requests.

Liteon probably means a DELL laptop, a driver update may well prevent it releasing so often. Really its not a problem, iOS devices love to spam requests too.

That is a very fair point.

This is a sample. I just wanted to know what's different with my GFs laptop that it does that but my desktop and all other devices just get one line when they log into the wifi.

Your device is releasing it's ip and asking for a new lease. Update the driver. This can be happening and not causing any problems other than spamming the log, it's a single packet each direction.
