    Hi All,

I have an interview for Fidelity Investments in Dublin (citywest) next week. I was wondering if anyone could offer any advice on what's it like as a company to work for?

    Appreciate any advice provided
    thanks

Hi, I am told it is a very professional / corporate environment where there would be would not much banter during the day.

Most finance companies appear to have gone that way. The salary on offer is good so I guess that would be one of the reasons why

You can be on a good salary and still have the banter :)

Not just finance companies. I work in IT and the same is the case. There number of such companies out there is scary. They claim to offer a fun environment to work in and a great work-life balance, of course but finding a company that delivers on that promise is extremely difficult. Fidelity Investment seem to be advertising an awful lot lately, which means that they are expanding or they have a high rate of staff turnover.

They are undergoing an expansion so are taking quite a good few new people on.

Another one of my concerns is the hours that are required to be worked. I don't mind staying late occasionally but Im currently in a job where i work late every day and don't get anything in return for it
