Just had a new hornbeam hedge planted. I'm looking to try and keep it as healthy as possible.

Any tips on what I should use to feed it? Bear in mind there's about 150 metres worth of hedging so need to keep cost at a reasonable amount.

Nothing, no need to feed it at all in its first year, or any subsequent year.

So how can I boost its growth and get it good and healthy?

It's a hardy plant, it's naturally already a good and healthy plant, you don't have to boost it's growth.

Keep any weeds and grass away from the base of the plants
