    hi all,
looking over agfood there and wondering if it is possible to correct breed registeration online, or how can one get it done? can you get animals tested to show their breed? help with Euro star ratings. have a bull from AI and his isn't down as his breed, think breeds were just put in to get it done..

When you say he isn't down as his breed, do you mean he's down as sire unknown? If he's a PB bull you'll prob get a shout to genotype him next year as part of the BDGP scheme. Private tests can also be done for a fee but am not too sure of the details, ICBF site could sort you out with that.

Or if you know his sire, just give them a shout in the dept and get his registration changed over the phone.

ya, he bull is down as BB and he is off MZT, so that should be easy fix, but a few of the elder cows are down as BB or whiteheads, so changing these may not be as easy, bit of research on my part to attempt to find out the sire. oldest cow has no sire, and is mother to quite a few of the cows not, so their rating is in bits too.
    cheers.

Hmmm. Difficult one! That bull must have been reg'd on paper instead of online, I think an automatic breed comes up or a conflicting breed announcement comes in the post if you put an incorrect breed down with a bull code.

First things first with that older blue cow, look at the AI men you used to use and cross examine bulls with the year she was born. See if there was one new one or a favourite being used at that time.
