I thought he would have backed up and ran away before he'd go for the takedown.

I'm not even disappointed, thought I would be but mcgregor is a very good loser.
    Yeah my thoughts exactly

Conor looked slow. I don't think he gave Diaz a chance and paid the price. Gutted

    Told ye!!

He was too cocky going into it

You would have said that whenever he lost :D

"You took this fight on short notice Conor"

Joe taking a bit of a stretch with that one :D

Yeah, he landed absolutely bombs but Diaz held on. Down to 155 in the future do we reckon?

He'd do well at 155 but talk of fighting Robbie was idiocy.

Have to say that Conor did seem noticeably slower. Even early in the fight. Has no business fighting at 170 really.

And while he hit Nate with a load of good shots. They didn't KO him like they would guys at lower weights.

Stockton slapped around back to feather.

    Dana must be devastated

McGregor thought his chin could save him, the move in weight exposes his chin and then he had to put him down which was a massive mistake, I think that'll be his last time at 170 for a while, back down to a more suitable weight

Now let that be the stupid end of people thinking he could take robbie lawlor

Sad to see Conor lose, but class by Nate... You've got to like him.

Only reason he went for a takedown was because he was out on his feet.

With each fight (excluding Aldo for obvious reasons) McGregor seems to increase his showboating at the expense of covering up and just making good decisions.

It's still a big surprise, but it was only a matter of time before McGregor took a big shot like that because of his own pageantry.

His pageantry made it all the sweeter to be honest.

****ing hell. Conor was rocked from that one shot by Diaz, you could tell nearly straight away

It's kind of bittersweet Diaz winning.

I mean, we love McGregor and all but when he's saying stuff in press conferences like "fúck the belt" and that it's only the money he cares about it sends out a bad message.

Diaz is all about the fight and Jesus did he turn up.

This loss will do Conor a lot of good imo.

He'd do well at 155 but talk of fighting Robbie was idiocy.

We know that now. Lawler would murder him. Wonder what's next. Can they still justify a 155 title shot?

Classy in defeat TBF, crazy to go up to 170 effected him badly, He can come back but it's a big blow to his marketability and to the aura he had developed around him.

Those EA Sports game covers are absolutely cursed.

Jones, Gus, Ronda and now Conor.

Was it just me or was there a lack of talk from Kavanagh between the 1st and 2nd round?

Aaron Ramsey scored today..Conor loses. Can't say I'm shocked. Ramsey does things like that

    Holy. F*cking. Sh*t.

You saw it coming about a minute before it happened. What was mcgregor thinking going for the takedown?!!!

Conor turned into the one thing he accuses all his opponents of becoming,.... A panic wrestler

Everybody asked about what would happen if Conor lost... I'm sickened but I'm sure he'll come back from it.

To lose to a guy fighting on 10 days notice is a killer. Huge blow to his marketability.

The most sickening thing about tonight is that if Lawlor & Shevchenko won I'd be 5k richer right now :(

    :pac:

What was the correlation he had again when he was on that scoring streak?

Frankie at 200 has to be the fight now imo. Good lesson if mcgregor learns from it, let success go to your head and you'll get f**ked up. Delighted for nate "f**k you muthaf**ka, I don't give a f**k" diaz

I thought he was quiet, for at least a minute before Conor was f*cked.

Really didn't see Nate winning, didn't even see him getting him on the mat for more than 10 seconds. Thought Nate was way too slow. Jesus.
