Hey all, for those of you who already collected - could you provide the measurements of the box it came in? I'll have the car full with me on Sunday in Wexford and need to see if this bad boy is gonna fit or if I'll need to leave a child behind in Argos :p

    Thanks!

Box is 47 inches wide, 30 inches high, 5 inches deep.

I advise downloading lg remote app. It should suffice. I havent unboxed ours yet but my father in law did. They arent getting the fancy control either. Has anyone tried using an external hard drive to watch mp4, avi files?

I wonder could it stream MKV files etc. from a samba shared drive on a Linux machine? That could possibly be one way I may go about watching stuff on it! I hate having to plug hard drives in and out all the time!!

    Thanks,
    M

No, but it does have WiDi which you could use to send the pictures and sound from your PC to the TV?

That is good to know! Could you try and see if it can see a shared folder in Windows (say on your laptop) that contains MKV files etc. and play them directly form there??

I'd try it myself but will not have mine for a few weeks, it's in Mayo at the moment.

    Thanks,
    M

PS: The reason I ask is I want to try and avoid plugging hard drives in and out if possible!
