Im not sure why anyone would think we can win the next 2? I hope we do obviously but we were turned over by a very ordinary Utd side yesterday and I dont think we would have beaten Leicester last week either if Simpson hadnt got himself sent off.
There hasnt been any signs lately that we can just flick a switch and turn it on whenever we want

Not a hope in hell we beat Spurs away. Unlike us they have showed some fight and class in the last few games. We are gutless and will be put to the sword on Saturday.

Ken Early is spot on in this article. Both Leicester and Tottenham are constrained too with spending power lets not forget

because we are. The fact is we dont look interested and something rotten has taken hold of this club. We were 10 seconds away from disaster v Leicester. Welbecks winner papered over some amount of cracks. I can accept losing to barca but then to follow that up with a lame dick performance vs kids? (who also played midweek btw)

Maybe Sunday was our 'Milan (2012)' moment..
    id doubt it.

So when Leicester do it against Norwich its showing fight and "that's how you win leagues" but when Arsenal do it its just papering over the cracks.

The 'summer war chest' is back!

Last year, on 27 February, when it seemed like our CL and title hopes were done, the club tried to placate fans by briefing Jeremy Wilson of Daily Telegraph on a huge 50m transfer 'war chest'. Wilson first wrote such an article in 2009. Last night, they did it again.

Some fans will always start to buy this crap, and I'm sure you'll see a lot of AKBs in next few days saying 'let's wait and see what Wenger does in summer'. We are being treated like complete mugs by the club.

Here's how far back the war chest tactic actually goes:

    (borrowed from Reddit)
2009: Arsenal to hand Arsène Wenger £60 million transfer war chest (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/arsenal/6240659/Arsenal-to-hand-Arsene-Wenger-60-million-transfer-war-chest.html)

I don't think any of the fans are swallowing that anymore.

    Enough is enough.

So lets all send Tony Pulis good thoughts today and start worrying about our useless mob tomorrow.

Swansea have caused us problems recently and the way we're playing doesn't fill me with confidence. I really hope we can find a performance from somewhere and kick start our season. Not hopeful

I was thinking he wouldn't be greatly missed, but if the alternative is Theo in his current form, then that's not very appealing.
He has to play Campbell tomorrow night....surely?

Pretty much season ending at this stage.

has to be campbell on the right wing over theo. he's an impact sub when defenders legs are tired.

What's the story with Gnabry? Is he on loan somewhere?

Up front same as Sunday, swapping Giroud for Walcott. Wouldn't mind giving Ramsey bench time tomorrow, perhaps bringing on Elneny instead.

I think we can take 6/6 no doubt

But I still have no doubt we won't win the league

Can we start with 3/3 from Swansea?

Can we start with a f***in clean sheet and a goal or two from our f***in strikers?

There's no reason we shouldn't be beating Swansea and beating them well.

My last match at the Emirates was March or April 2014 when we came from behind against Swansea and were heading for a win, until Flamini scored an OG in injury time.
I really hope he's not near the first XI.

    Fixed that there.

I think we all thought the same about United and look what happened there. Swansea will be no pushovers imo.

Leicester will win tonight and the gap will be 8.
We got back to 3 - 2 against United and hardly mustered a shot for the remaining 20 mins. Something not right with the mentality.

That really pissed me off...we had nearly half an hour...but still there was no urgency..even in the extra time we got a throw in and I think it was Bellerin who instead of throwing it to Cech who could feckin hit it long in the box he tried to throw it to Giroud who was near byline...what the heck

They're all feckin big talkers when it comes to doing interviews on TV/Twitter..etc..but on the pitch where's ya feckin sense....

Yes indeed and a spine is missing as well apparently. So Wenger is going to fix that in the summer, lol.

Wenger needs to cut himself loose. A lot of playing personnel have changed at the club since 2006 but the theme remains the same

    Common denominator = Arsene

Wenger & his complacency have been rumbled. His ambition has been laid bare for all to see, because he is now starring at the edge of a cliff where the sea has been undermining the well trodden pathway.

Expectation has moved the goalposts & fans, public & media now expects more than glorious 4th, Even the fans who bought his 4th place mantra want much better when old rivals are floundering this season..

Failure to stay in the title race for the duration will not be forgiven.

He has up until the Watford home game April 2nd to get a proper title challenge in place.

The locals in the Gooner Valley are getting very restless, if the Swawp Dwellers win the league I dread to think what will happen.:mad: :mad:

Arsenal fans have fallen for that many times before. Can't see it happening this time myself but people are fickle and some believe everything Wenger says so you never know.
I'm betting that he won't leave and he'll eventually be wheeled out of the club kicking and screaming about "there was no quality in the market".

How long did Rip Van Winkle sleep for? 40 years?
Wenger has a bit of catching up to do.

I am with you there Tayto. The sum available is only £70. That hardly covers the cost of a one quality player. It's pure BS IMO, just trotted out to appease the fans after the mauling by Cubs on Sunday.

"Ivan? Arsène. Look, can you wheel in the war chest for my press conference, just so everybody can see it only contains £28.50. Thanks."
