Looks like Rosita's days are numbered.

Seems apparent the guy Rick is trusting to take him to Negan's place will turn on him in the hope he'll be rewarded. But he'll probably be killed off since he's not Glenn.

Why is Jesus not the one pushing for an assault on Negan? Last week he came across like a risk-taker, someone who lives on the edge; this week he seemed totally passive. He's just a seemingly very well accomplished martial artist who happens to want to be part of a community that offers up absolutely no fighting resistance to the big bullying group nearby, and who happily puts up with someone he views as a poor leader. Sure, why not.

The assassination attempt was ridiculous. Did the guy doing it really think that murdering an innocent person was the best decision in the circumstances? And as for the bystanders (well done for just standing around watching by the way), why were they pissed off at Rick's group who were quite clearly looking to prevent harm? 'Hey man, leave 'im alone! He just tried to kill our leader, that's all. We all have rough days, y'know.'

Jesus says Gregory is in charge because he's popular. Not on that evidence. Hope he isn't planning to stand for re-election. Incredibly speedy recovery by the way for ol' Gregory after his KNIFE ATTACK. Ah, just a scratch I guess.

Speaking of hard-to-believe medical moments, they found a baby doctor! And he has a fully functioning ultrasound too! What ARE the chances? 'Man my tooth is really sore; it might have to come out.' 'Wait, there's a guy by the side of the road - he says he's a fully qualified orthodontist!'

And isn't it extraordinary that Glenn and Maggie decided to start a family - IN THE MIDDLE OF THE APOCALYPSE. Yeah because the last woman in the group who was pregnant - it worked out really well for her didn't it?

Would have been nice if the writers had Rick talk to Glenn about his experience with Laurie. Remember those storylines about whether or not she should keep the baby? Perhaps have Rick tell Glenn or Maggie that he sometimes wonders if Laurie would still be there if she had made a different choice? You know, believable emotional concerns? But nah, why go down that route when we can watch Maggie and Gregory play Dragon's Den together.

Wasn't a month passed after Carl getting shot in the eye

I enjoyed this episode despite the usual potholes which have been mentioned.
The showdown with Neagan will certainly be interesting. It's pretty obvious they are underestimating him, Daryls line about Neagan having a good story and being the "boogeyman" really stands out.
It's really interesting to consider the consequences of defeat/victory.
Victory will mean sustainability as Ricks group trades with Gregorys and the other network of settlements that Jesus mentioned.
Defeat will mean coming under Neagans control and all the consequences for their resources that will have.
Inevitably there will be deaths in Ricks group. (Abraham, Maggie, Michone and Sasha are all big possibilities)
It's set up really well to be a very strong season ending couple of episodes.

I really am enjoying the new plot but i still think the Jesus character is too much of a one-joke character (his look and friends of jesus reference). Also the maggie should really havr improved her southern accent by now

Absolutely loved the moment the fight stopped, when Rick looked up and said 'What?'. Really sums up how far he's come, brilliant.

I really don't see the issue with Glenn and Maggie starting a family. They've seen that there is still hope in this awful world, they're madly in love, they have an understanding with each other that wouldn't have been possible in the normal world...and so they decided to have a baby. It's just part of a wider message in the show that life is still going on and there is a future there for mankind.

Of course there are huge risks involved. But your point about Lori doesn't really stand up as Judith is still around, isn't she?

As for Jesus, the guy who you're suggesting he should be standing up to sounds like a murdering psychopath, one that beat a 16-year-old to death in full view of the Hilltop residents. It's natural that Jesus and the rest of them are so reluctant to stand up to him by themselves. In last week's episode he was on his own and his survival instinct kicked in. Within the overall picture, he's happy enough to still be alive given what's out there.

Thought that was a really good episode, nicely paced and well structured.

Well of course Glen has hope: he's been rescued from several hopelessly impossible situations already. But to be serious here, it is absolutely ridiculous and illogical the idea that this pregnancy was PLANNED. It's as if Glenn and Maggie have no concerns whatsoever that anything bad could happen. The way it was handled with Rick and Lori was believable; this isn't.

For example, if I remember correctly one of Lori's concerns was that the foetus might die and that she might then be ripped apart from the inside by the deceased foetus. But neither Glenn nor Maggie are concerned about this. Even if the foetus were to survive, how would it be delivered safely? Glenn and Maggie were nonchalant about it before the new doctor showed up. Are we supposed to believe they had total confidence in Denise handling it with the tools at her disposal? It's ridiculous. I don't care how lovey dovey there are. is there a rush? Is Maggie in her mid to late forties? No. Logically in that situation do you not think you would hold off on starting a family until a bit of stability took hold? Until, y'know, you weren't facing life or death situations every bloody week? To choose to start a family in this environment is one of two things: naivety or idiocy. Take your pick.

So Lori's death doesn't matter because the baby made it? So Glenn will be fine with Maggie dying as long as the baby makes it? And Judith has been in several life-or-death situations already, e.g. when Carol and Tyreese had to protect her. Not to mention the recent episode where they had to slip past the walkers and one loud gurgle from the baby would have doomed all of them.

Leave aside that this has become a silly TV show of late where A-list characters are practically invulnerable and that they obviously won't kill off the baby; if this were a serious attempt at a zombie apocalypse, lugging around a baby is the last thing people would want to do. You would hope for stability and a safe haven before attempting repopulation.

Jesus is a guy that last week had freedom of movement, was shown to be savvy and resourceful (i.e. firecrackers) and had combat skills that enabled him to hold his own against both Rick and Daryl. My point is thus: why would someone with such skills waste them by staying in a community that was at the mercy of this psychopath? Why would he not get the hell out of there? He's got the skills of Steven Seagal and Bear Grills rolled into one but he'd rather sit around and twiddle his fingers in a community that's on its knees and back a leader that he doesn't rate? Sorry, this doesn't add up to the picture of the guy we were presented with last week.
