    Hello

I am a non-national moving abroad mid year (around july). I've been working for few years here in ireland in a hospital.

Just wondering how i could claim tax refunds for unused tax credits when i move abroad?? I will be on a flight few days after finishing the job.

I know I would get p45 to the home address overseas, but i wonder how soon i could start claiming tax refunds? some sites say i need to apply every month until end of the year or something (quite confused now actually..)

Or is it better to leave it until this time next year and then apply for tax refund via revenue.ie?

    Thanks in advance.

    Are you leaving permanently?

Then you won't have to submit monthly. A one off permanent cessation of your tax affairs will be done.

    You'll need to submit a Form P50 with Parts 2 & 3 of your P45

    Yeap leaving permanently.

Thanks for the info. So I guess I can apply as soon as I get the P45.

This can be done even as I am abroad I assume?
