It's equidistant between .ak and molloyjh's lofts

Correct. In their preferred form of measurement it's 144 scarves away from each.

As long as the women are wear tight tops and yoga pants, I don't give sh!te what the guys wear :D Yes I'm a misogynist pig.

Also, where's this PMacs pub? If it's full of hipsters I'd like to avoid it.

I'm not sure the above is evidence of a dislike or hatred for women!

It's across the road from the Hairy Lemon.

molloy loves it because they serve his pints in extra large jam jars and they have coat hooks specifically for punters flat caps.

I don't think there was anything excessive or ostentatious about what Emmet said there!

Are hipsters still living in lofts? I thought that might have become a bit "normal" and they might have moved on to basements or camper vans to be more unique.

In fairness it's a good pub. I like it anyway.

I think it's owned by the same crowd that own Cassidys on Westmoreland St.

Of course he can feck off, sure we all can.

I think you were supposed to say.

    "you may feck off"

Speaking of Molloy he seems to be on a hiatus. He was getting awful thick with some of the stuff on the Ireland thread and hasn't been back since. I think the Tommy O'Donnell making Heaslips look good comment was the final straw!

We should start a hemp clothing thread to lure him back.

Come back Jolly Hipster, we miss you!

Here listen, misogynists and pedants are allowed around here, but we draw the line at grammar nazis! :P

I'm going to run a half marathon with 3 weeks training. Is that doable? I ran 5k last night without too much trouble

You'll be wrecked but it's absolutely doable. If you want to be less wrecked you'd want to be doing 5k+ every day for the next 2 weeks and then a couple of softer runs the week of the race.

Doable in the sense you'll get over the line for sure.

If I was you I'd want to run at least a 12/14k at some point in the next two weeks though.

Don't know what your current level of fitness is like but assuming that you don't do much running at the moment you mostly want to get a bit closer to having run the distance over the next couple of weeks. I'd run 3 times a week with a couple of 5k's the first week and 7 miles at the weekend (or whichever day corresponds to your race), a couple of 5 mile runs the 2nd week with 10 miles at the weekend and then a couple of 5k's during the week leading up to the race.

    Good luck!

P.S. Don't run every day. It's great for long term development but not the best way of getting you ready to run a half in 3 weeks.

Nothing will get you fitter than randomly changing from metric to imperial.

People of Dublin Bay South and Dublin Central, vote for this man: http://www.thegormanplan.com/index.html

    http://www.thegormanplan.com/information-on-the-candidate.html

He is refreshingly open about his sexual preferences
I helped a Lesbian couple who wanted a Child. My Son was born.
    I did take part in 2 porn films in 1985 / 86.
    I am bisexual.
I am a member a group that supports safe BDSM.
I have since the age of 18 years of age to date, I have had sex with 3,000+ people, having sex 4 / 5 times per week all safe sex.

I know that 12 members of Fine Gael and 15 members of the Labour party have copies of the porn films still.
Even after 30 years.. I don't think I was any good in them.
Yes I have had sex with 3,000+ people.
I do not take drugs, no under aged, all with consent.
Fine Gael and Labout members know that I am into BDSM.
Yes I am a Dom / Top. I like to tie people up if and only if they wish.

You should read his manifesto if you want to see some truly surreal stuff. I particularly recommend the section about him and the IRA.

On a more serious note, does anyone know the history of this guy?

  • 99 votes in 1997. Hopefully he can break the hundred this time round!

His poster in South Cork was inspired!

Plans to build 18 new hospitals if he is elected, I'm betting one or two might be in cork!
